Nice job - great idea to compare the two. If I recall correctly (I don't want to go through the hassle of getting to it), the Shogun Warriors version of the standard Danguard Ace has black plastic under the feet, not chrome. Can someone please confirm this for me? If so, I never knew there was a difference until your vid, Ed.

My Shogun Version has no sticker on his wing. thats another difference to "japanese popy" version I think . He's the second Dangard (in Box) with no sticker i got. Maybe "bad luck" or a "real difference" ?!

I don't own the shogun...so I didn't know that difference. Wow, I learn something every day.

Heck, now that I think more about it, isn't the inside of the chest on the Shogun version black plastic also? chogoman, care to confirm?

Ed, you were talking about the foam versus the styrofoam on the inside of the box, and I read the comments on youtube. Might it also have something to do with which version it is? Maybe foam was originally used, but they later determined that it was not sufficiently protecting the toys, so they later switched to styrofoam? See, I'd assume that styrofoam would be more recent (if my half-thought-out theory is correct) based on its presence in the Shogun toy boxes. Just throwing ideas out there.

Also, I'm trying to remember about the stickers on the wings. Hmmm... Maybe there were two Shogun versions issued, because I seem to recall having one with the sticker and one without (both lacking the Japanese version chrome on the figure itself). My memory is off. Maybe I'll have to dig my way to my toy and see what I've got.

Yes, I've seen some packed like that, but that doesn't include foam. I guess I'm questioning the foam versus styrofoam issue. Not sure why yours includes foam AND box creases.

I checked mine, and it has black pastic within its chest, not chrome. Also, I was mistaken - no sticker on the wings.

Oh, I misunderstood. I have two, one with foam rubber (with box crease) and then the other has styro and no crease.
