The Godaikin poster thread inspired me. Same artist as the Gaiking, Grendizer and Daiku Mary posters.

Great poster!
I'm not that familiar with the Gakeen show. If that mothership in the background is prominant enough to put on the poster, were any toys made of it? I don't recall seeing any toys of that.

I got first dibs on da tv remote!!! ;D ...<jes' kidding> That's a cool poster for its nostalgic look. I'll bet the artist must've done many many super-robot posters back in the day, which are now collectable in their own category. Nice showing here! zozo-magengar forget the poster, I want the Charlie Brown cup !! No, that is a great, SUPER, poster I've never seen before. Wonder who has the original oil painting! E

Do you think these were first done for Terebi Mag and then made into posters?

Wow Josh, that's a DAMN good question. As you may or may not know the Daiku Maryu poster this artist did was an actual terebi cover. I looked at the terebi history book and none of the others (Gaiking, Grendy and Gakeen) appear to be covers. It's a good point that many of the other early covers look like they are done by this artist. Saito-san said something about these in passing and I forgot what he said. I emailed him to ask him to refresh my memory. I would love to find out the artists name.

I have the Grendizer and Gaiking framed and on display. The others are in poster tubes. I have no room.
