Wow. That toy is shiny. Absolutely gorgeous. ... I'm ashamed that I have never so much as seen a chunky in person . They were bette noir figures when I was in the younger days of collecting (the only ones I could find to afford were trashed beyond belief), and I haven't taken advantage of any of the recent re-releases. I need to get one of the anniversary valks. Are they re-releasing the Max or Millia? I wouldn't mind a change of pace from the usual Roy/Hikaru paint schemes...

I believe there's a chance that M&M will be rereleased. BUT....it prob. depends on how well the current Anni. valks. sell. We'll just have to wait and see eh.

Great vid review, those were such great toys. And the Max and Millia ones are so great looking. I remember when I was 8 or 9 they had a Max for sale in the comic book store near my house and even though I didn't know what it was I knew I wanted one.
Quinjester, I only have one of the Origin of Valkyrie releases, the Max Super VF-1A, and I can't strongly recommend them. The quality is not up to par with the Takatoku or earlier Bandai releases. I may have just gotten a bad one, though. The 2001 Bandai versions are great.

does anybody know how much the value of a decent boxed takatoku max vf 1j? If it's complete and in good condition, lately they've been selling for around $100-$130.

The closest I had to a chunky monkey was the transformer Jetfire and even then it was a awesome toy, loads of metal and super sturdy. Even today its a impressive toy.

I had the vf-1s. Possibly the most durable and well constructed toy I've ever owned.
