Thanks Gort. I can already tell from this pic that your figure has a metal tab rather than the rubber tube inside holding the arms. This is the first version Microman according to Paul L's Microforever www.microforever.com/M10X.htm Really cool!

One from the back: I'm pretty sure he's one of the 1974 release 1 figures from what info I've found, he certainly has the metal tab construction. One of my very favourite things I own. While I'm posting pics here's T431 Deimos from the Titan 2 Racing series, a re-colour of T441 Icarus pictured above (I'm missing his race car accessories)

Those Cosmo Satan Ardens are awesome! I finally got my hands on a vintage one, and honestly it's very hard to tell the difference between the repro and vintage stuff. They are that good! Oddly, Takara barely released them when they reissued so the repros are often as hard ti find as vintage ones. The Toys R Us exclusive ones are actually more common to find.

Is that the rare transparent version? Very nice pics. I've always been tempted to snag the regular version, but my money always seems to go somewhere else. I guess I'm just resisting starting to collect another line.

Is that the rare transparent version? Yes, it's the Hyper Hobby Exclusive Robotman Crystal Version, and as for being rare, I'm not exactly sure how many Takara produced, but it does show up occasionally on Yahoo! JP. This Robotman Crystal Version has always appealed to me ever since I first read about it on MicromanForever, and then seeing it for myself at fellow RJ member venson1969's place. Thanks! I experimented using a black background and a white one with both having different results because of the transparent plastic. The head's detailed inner parts bring to mind the Terminator's endoskull or the crystal skull in the fourth Indiana Jones movie but with Microman funk! ;D I've always been tempted to snag the regular version, but my money always seems to go somewhere else. I guess I'm just resisting starting to collect another line. I also like vintage Microman, but I can't afford to buy original ones so I opt for repros. I was able to snag a couple of MISB repro Robotman for about US$30 each in Hong Kong. I put them in my camping backpack and was stopped by an airport attendant who thought that my backpack was oversized to bring onboard the plane. Without asking, she pressed the top of the backpack with both hands. Geez! I was really pissed off! On another note, check out this Robotman commercial.
