I have not have the opportunities to see these type so toys up close. From what I understand, the GN-U's are around the size of Revoltechs, 5 to 6 inchese tall. The CM's Corporation variety comes in all size, and price, a Dancougar Nova is 12" in height while some thing like Mightgaine is half the size I believe, hence the difference in the price. Aside from revoltech, the only other plastic robot action figure I have is the wing version of Gurren Lagann from Konami. What I like to know is how accurate are the figures in comparison to the commerical pictures they show on websites like HLJ and such. The thing with PVC and ABS figures is that most times, the actual product is nothing like the promo pictures. Most of the time its the paint jobs. IF anyone has a GN-U God Gravion and a CM's Mightgaine, how are the quality on those. Thanks.

Ok I would say that they are very accurate as far as Yamato is concerned. They are also made of ABS hard plastic and not PVC as CMS's figures. Yamato's figures are built more sturidier then CMS's. CMS figures are prone to parts falling off easy and not being secure. The only downside to Yamato is that the harder plastic has less give away so parts in the armor restrict articualtion in some arears (mainly in the anckle joints), skirt armor pops off easily for the same reason when attemptign to rotate the torso. Over all, Yamato is a better figure and they have cool skeletons as well. And as you can see, God Gravion is almost 7' tall (dragonar pictured is 8')

Thanks, I'll look for these when the convention comes around at the end of the month over here in San Francisco. I've always thought that ABS was the soft plastic and PVC was the hard plastic, learn something new today. So the plastic quality is that of a Gundam model kit, and not like mini gashapon figure where the plastic feels bendable? The GN-U figures are also more affordable, almost half the price of the CM's Corporation. Here is the link to the CM's MightGaine I was asking about www.hlj.com/product/CMS65205Only 12CM, so the size of the Gran Kaiser but at almost double the price.

lol Maybe i am confused as well, but i beleive that PVC is the softer plastic. The plastic used in yamato's line is just as hard as a gundam model but it does have texture to it possibly from paint. And yes, CMS has that rubber soft plastic, and as i stated before, they are prone ot having loose parts and sometimes paint chipping.
Unfortunately, CMS has licenses to some great figures while yamato doesnt have as much and mainly concentrates on Macross figures for the bulk of thier line. I hope thier recent releases means that they will be picking up more super robots but it has yet to be seen.
Still, CMS has some great figures, while the quality is not on par with yamato, they have a great line of robots and the are all pretty poseable. I am not sure how they get away with charging so much as you are right to point out the difference in price between the too lines. Seems you get a better figure for you money if you go Yamato, but less to choose from. I think CMS run around 60+ and so far Yamato has been around $30.

I just got my GN-U DOU GOD Gravion Figure today, and it looks great. It's very well made, and the paint quality was really good. Unlike a lot of the Bandai Gundam figures where you get poor paint jobs. Many times I've seen GFF and HCM Pro figures with paint bleeding onto other parts. In particular the feet. I normally see the red paint from the bottom feet bleed onto the white upper part. The look of this God Gravion is actually better than my SHE Simple Change Version, but it's not as fun because their are no transforming parts like the SHE figure. Got to get Gran Kaiser now.

Glad you liked him as much as i did. Now you can see for yoruself the quality of this line. I just wish they had a bigger selection to choose from. Gran Kaiser is sure not to dissappoint as well!

The only disappointment from GN-U Dou is just one thing
What's up with the pheriperals? At goshogun you only got 1 hand holding go-saber . . . At Braiger you only got 1 sword, and at sasuraiger you only got 1 hand and 1 gun . . . . sigh . . .
Other than that it was top notch . . . the paint was great, the sculpt was great! I must say that GN-U Dou is the closest AF to the anime it self . .
