Hi there! This is my first post on this amazing site. I recently purchased a large version of my favourite Popy toy the "Jaguar Vulcan" which was a bit worn, but I have managed to patch it up. The small version of Jaguar Vulcan toy has a special meaning to me. I stumbled across a small shop while exploring the centre of London called Forbidden Planet. It was 1981 & I was about 12 at the time. The shop had a small display of Popy toys for sale and I hadn't seen them anywhere else. I used to do a paper round and save up, before jumping on the underground and making a purchase. I'd then go off to the Cinema to see a scifi film. Ahh those were the days - Jaguar Vulcan was my first Popy toy and is still my favourite. I sold off my collection when I was about 18, something I regret to this day, though I kept the Jaguar Vulcan. Now the large Vulcan has taken pride of place in my kids playroom and is regularly played with. My 3-year old loves it. Considering the toy is now 27 years old, it is tough enough to withstand my kids playing with it and I am sure it will go on to see my Grandkids (god willing). I am a firm believer that toys are to be played with, that is except my small Jaguar Vulcan - no-one touches it! ;D ;D ;DPICS BELOW ;D ;D ;D Here's some guys rocking to the "Sun Vulcan" soundtrack. Here are some more guys "Vulcan'n it up" ;D: Here's the original: Here are some pictures:

Awesome toys - I've been wanting both the ST and large scale ones of these ships for quite some time!! You are very lucky! Oh, and welcome to the board. Great way to make an entrance.

Thanks, this site is awesome!
One question, I once stumbled across an image of a toy very similar to Jag Vullcan but it was black with a different ship inside. Was I dreaming or was it a custom toy?
Oh, just seen one on another post - Great site!!!!! ;D

Post a pic here. I know that this basic design was used for a later Power Rangers transport vehicle. Was it that?

Here is a picture of the black one, I don't know what TV show it appeared in, probably an early Power Rangers / Sentai. I much prefer the Jaguar Vulcan though.

HI TB...glad to have you on the site That other vulcan was just a Machine Robo toy....I doubt it was used, but instead just another way to reuse the toy mold. Message me if you ever find another Jaguar Vulcan base, the small one. I've been looking for a while ;(
