i cannot possibly imagine anything that could beat this. you deserve your own tv show. i bet everyone here would watch. i would wish you luck at botcon but it looks like you you don't need it. when you have that much talent, luck isn't even a factor.

Request though, can you be more detailed on how you did it, even just the basics. I wanna be like you when I grow up.

When you grow up? ^^ I don't know how old you are, I'm 36 years old bythe way, it will sound funny, but the stuff I made was not with such difficult techniques, no CAD designing, no computer engineering, I did not even make single sketches for this project. All I used were MP Optimus for measuring, and couple other Optimus from various series for design reference. MP Optimus is 12 inch, so basically I measured each part of body with a ruller, then double up the size, then cut the styrene sheet in that shape. Once you cut all the sheets then you glue them together. It sounds easy but this is the basic construction of this piece. And it took me 5 months. I have full day job at my work, so I worked on this project after work from 6 to 9 everyday. And I used almost all weekends too. Anybody who attempts to replicate this type of work might take you more than a year. It is all patient and dedication and you got to put a heart in to it. You can start by doing some custom paint figures and get many experiences and understand what it takes to become a great model builder.
As for detail on how I did it, for me it is just too difficult to write in words. You may have to see me in person to teach you hands on lesson. ^^

Hehe, I'm old, I'm 28. I did some building models before with styrenes and I can airbrush back in college, but I haven't tried any that as detailed as what you did, I'm curious on how how you did the small details on the leg with just using bondo. You inspired me to do my own and of course Voltes V since he's my favorite but probably not as detailed as what you did. Maybe not that transform since it's five pieces together. I guess I just have to ask you detailed questions when I'm in a pickle. I guess I'll start with the head, probably a modeling clay that hardens at oven. Make it 2 parts recasted so I can insert LED lights later then airbrush. What do you think? Thanks,

Congratulations you certainly deserve it! How bout for your next project you build one of Gestalts like Devastator or Bruticus or maybe even Omega Supreme that's in-scale with MP Prime? They wouldn't have to disassemble or transform but have that "MP look".

maidenjapan, Thanks for the matrix!!!! I love it. I wore it all through Botcon. So many people asked where it came from. I told them "the guy that made the 2 ft prime made this" hehe
