I'm just so overwhelmed by all the praises and number of views it's receiving. It is very fragile, it's only made out of plastic sheets, but sturdy enough to handle and transform. Crazy isn't it? And no I'm not planning to sell it. I just made some copy of matrix for a gift for person I know. I'm taking this piece for display at Macrossworld Convention at UCLA next month, so if anybody want to see this in person go check it out.

Is it possible to actualy make resin copies of this Master's Master piece ?

It's not totally impossible to make resin copies, but I'm not going to. I'm sorry.

I guess it's too much work and it has to be dissassembled to be re-casted. And it has to be one of a kind. I'm sure Da Vinci won't photocopy the Mona Lisa, but then again Xerox wasn't invented yet at that time. But you get my point.

lol!
No main question was not to reproduce it for me or the public but rather if it could be put into pieces to recast as a solid piece not as fragile, because most of the time when you make one of a kind at some point something will happen to it, and that is just sad!

That's a good point though especially styrenes are very fragile. If I can I would make it die-cast! First I need the skills. LOL!

Enough you two, I guess I have to open the Optimus' matrix to lighten the darkness lol !!!
All I'm saying is that the model is a one-off, and I want to keep it as is. Enough talking about resin cast or die-cast what not.

I'm a real fan of your work, but favor please could you explain how you did the head? What materials did you use. Is the Bondo putty that you're talking about is the same as red Bondo in tubes?
Thanks, Ray
