Many toy guns were released in conjunction with your popular anime shows. I'm not just talking Transformers that convert to guns. While pretending you're a giant robot (or kaiju) stomping away at puny humans is fun, as a kid, you can also always count on the thrill of simply filling your enemy with hot lead. I'll have to take a pic of a couple tin sparky space guns, though they're not robot related.

That Dairugger XV gun is well worth it. Comes with a Popy GB-73? Is it a BB gun? Looks more like the matchbox version because I don't see the firing gimmick, firing fist and missile from the front of the legs. Can't help but thing that the kids in Japan back in the days, probably got this and use the Dairugger XV as target practice with that BB Gun. Thanks for sharing these.

Oh, I love those! I don't have anything that vintage, but I've got a cool Juspion gun. I have to break it out for this thread. I thought I was the only one that liked these.

My local comics shop has a Galaxy Express sabre pistol as well and I keep on the fence whether or not to spent that $30 on yet another plastic thing that'll collect dust on my shelf... but this thread has convinced me that I should get it if I see it tomorrow! EDIT: Boo-hoo - I stopped at the store today and it looks like somebody else grabbed the Gravity Saber already. Bummer. |
