After about two-and-a-half weeks of waiting for SAL shipping to arrive, I finally have my newest Revo from HLJ: Fraulein Haruhi, Bunny Girl Ver.
It's an outstanding figure. It totally blows the earlier EVA Fraulein figures out of the water in terms of quality and character likeness, and I'd say she's an overall nicer figure than Yoko too. An excellent selection of hands and alternate faces is included. It seems like Kaiyodo is following suit with the Yamaguchi series' ARX-8, which is definitely a good thing.
The finishing is really fantastic -- the use of gloss paint is spot on and creates a very nice look. Even the guitar has varied gloss, matte, and metallic finishes.
Also of note is the extensive promotion of AssembleBorg. There's a little image on the side of the box, and two inserts inside the box.
The reverse side has some promotional images for the REBOOT:
A closer shot of the text. I'm not sure if there's anything new there...(and the image is probably a little too small for anyone to decipher )
The figure is fully compatible with the parts from the magazine exclusive Haruhi busts too, which allows for an even more combinations of hair, face, and accessories. The bunny ears are attached to the bangs, so the back piece of hair can be exchanged and the "costume" stays intact.
I was lucky enough to get ahold of the two remaining busts from HLJ in the same shipment, so the set is complete! I really like these...they have a ton of personality without taking up much shelf real estate. They're a pretty nice value too, if you can grab them at retail price.
I'll try to shoot a few more images if there's any interest. Please feel free to request specific shots if there's anything in particular you want to see. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of Photobucket's image resizing soon, in the meantime apologies for the small-ish images...
