It's probably because it's a really small company with huge overhead.

I just received Munitioner and Explorer today, as well as Warbot Defender. What a nice surprise to receive on a Monday, especially a Monday that I was scheduled to work for 10.5 hours.

Armor for Shattered Glass Rodimus is a kinda strange choice, It's not like a lot of people have that figure.
I could see myself getting that Firebolt figure, though.

I posted this video on the other thread and don't know if you guys saw this. It's a video of a fansproject rep talking about the Protector TFX04. Rodimus add on. In the video, he mention that there are add on parts to the spoiler and other faces that can be swapped. The trailer is still not finalize because they are still trying other things, but from the video, it's kinda clear that the roller type vehicle is attached to the base of the stationary BFG.

Got my FP xFire yesterday! Worth every penny - I feel like I got waaay more than I expected. Bruticus is in full FREAKING force! I don't wanna spoil any suprises, but I found the little back stories particularly amusing! ^___^;

What version of Bruticus are you using for the base figures? I may need to come see yours before I order mine.

The Crystal version might go well with it. I sort of wonder how the red/ black look might work. I guess it depends on how much purple they use in the design. I did not expect it to cost $100 though. I am hoping the normal version is less. I am still waiting on FP to send me info on the item.

kinda have my doubts on the normal version costing less. But I preorder this one because there are a few things that doesn't come with the regular set, like the scythe weapon and the extra evil face.

For sure the regular will be around 79 bucks... I tried to find good prices for Rodimu classic. The Henkei cost too much but some classics are affordable Because of the 3 pack. Toy Arena eBay shop bought a lot of these and sell the Rodimus loose (no box, no vilain). I will try a custom once I will have the Scythe version to match the colors. Something dark, mat colored and few purple !

If anybody cares, the Perfect Effect's Shadow Demolitions with Shadow Pack arrived in the mail but I was away for the weekend. I got to fiddle with it a bit this morning. Pics and review tonight when I have time.
Initial impressions: Cool Shadow Pack but disappointed in the key feature for hanging the "big gun" from Shadow Commander's back. It clips onto the figure's back quite securely and the holes are a good fit to attach the PE-01 (in weapon mode). However, I don't know if it's because my armour set is a KO so maybe the size is a little off due to the remolding-process, but there is no way such a tiny peg will stick securely into the shallow slot on the side of the "big gun." For my $10, it's an okay pieces. It's well-painted, well-sculpted, and gives a decent bit of bulk on Shadow Commander.
Of course, the set is actually around $50 because you get a new repaint of PE-01 Shadow Warrior named "Shadow Demolitions" - he has red where the first guy had yellow. Nothing to write home about - he's still an overpriced Target-Master figure. Still got all the flaws of the first 3 iterations - the peg is so short they include a "grip" bit which is still difficult to plug on securely. Still doesn't plug into the Shadow Commander shoulder holes (the holes on my KO armour are too small and the peg on Shadow Demolitions collapses if I put pressure on it while trying to push it in).

I wonder if there are any pegs in Bruticus where those PE figures might fit.

Gonna use the 3 pack version for this or recolor it. Mainly need to spray paint him black, but it might look better if I leave it the way it is because it will have more color, multi-tone versus just black, purple, chrome, silver and white. And we know that the scythe weapon and extra face are only available from this set. Fansproject needs to give us an update on Protector.

A custom paint for the rodimus won't be easy. For sure the transformation with the trailer will generate a lot of friction points : remember the City commander with the legs insertions... so, the paint should be very thin. My choice goes probably to a kind of black ink, matte and permanent. The difficult parts will be the chrome and the grey ...
