Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how similar the original 80's HCM's were to the current Super HCM Pro's scale wise? I know both are 1/144 scale lines, but are the originals super chunky or something? Seeing as the SCHM's are coming around a little on the slower side, I was wondering if I should pick up some of the older ones to fatten up my army?

The older ones, as far as the Gundam ones, are 1/144. I don't think they were super chunky, they are not as poseable as the SHCM's and detail was close to a HG model, otherwise, they should serve well as fillers.

didnt even know HCMs exsisted in teh 80s lol I only new of the 1/200 scale and the newer 1/144 super HCMs (which by the way are magnificent)! Im not a fan of the smaller scale but I love the SHCM lines as they combine all of what bandai has to offer!

www.toyboxdx.com/datafiles/data/hcm/Yeah, I didn't know the HCM Pro line had a lineage either until I saw this article from Toy Box DX. It's too bad they called it quits on this line after only 25, I'm glad they've sort of picked it up again with the SHCM Pro's, I just wish they had the variation of series that the old line had.

Oh really? I've been trying to find out info on the line for the last few weeks, but aside to Toy Box DX and a few reviews on Counter X, it's been hard. Any tips on which ones are the best of the line? Or the hardest to find? It seems like Reideen is the most valuable, but Nu Gundam, the Auge, Vifam and the Valkyries are the rarest.... the Gundam ones are all over the place.
