hi, has anyone here have repainted or at least attempted to repaint a voltes v godaikin?
i am in the process of buying body parts but i think some might just be too expensive for me to pay.
so i am thinking of repainting the body instead. specifically the colored blue parts.
someone has told me that they use 3M brand for paint chippings. is this option the best? or are there any other choices? metallic blue or dark blue?
any help will be appreciated. ;D

Personally I haven't done mine since all of mine are still good except for my third which the chrome is slightly tarnished (darn finger oils & sweat!) But a friend of mine re-touched hers. She used metallic blue paint made by Tamiya airbrush for Panzer. The problem is the Frigate's leg as I'm still researching for a chrome touch-up.
Buying body parts are not that expensive, post it here on RJ and I'm sure a lot will offer their spare parts or maybe reproductions (plastic parts)
I think you posted about a Crewzer already right?

Actually I'm thinking of repainting one of mine in gold, or grey/black.

Black & Gray will surely rocks.....a good primer plus top coat to seal the paint should do the job

When I was young I use to have a gold Dairugger (Voltron III), which I really love. I wonder what my Voltes V looks like in gold, but then again I'm concerned because of it's vintage values.
Maybe I'll experiment on a loose worn-out Voltes V DX if I found one or a SOC.
