Ashura's Revenge...

Greetings Everyone! It's been a very looong time since
I last chatted here. Right now my internet time is very limited
and I can only check my emails at least once through the month until I get back online at home.
(I assure you I'm NOT incarcerated! hehehehe)

I'm behind on this because my harddrive crashed a while ago
and I had to remodel ALL of my DoGAs all over again:
But as you'll soon see, I've been very
busy working on my Mazinger-Z: Battle Of The Giants sequel
which was released in the summer of 2006... this sequel is now
officially titled as "Mazinger-Z: Ashura's Revenge"...
(Better Late than Never.)

...What you're about to see are Test-renders of what the final
production will look like. If I can improvise these scenes with
better quality, then I will. This is as good as I can get 'em for now.
This may be the last video hints you'll see until I release an
official movie trailer later on... I don't wanna let too much
cat outta the bag! *^__^*

Thanks, guys! I've got quite a ways to go... just finished panel-lining Genocider,
Grengus, and last night I finished modeling DamDam-L2.

The CG program I use is a low-end modeler called DoGA CGA (I'm using DoGA L3)
found here:
www.doga.co.jp/english
DoGA L1 is free, L2 and L3 are trials (registration for L2 and L3 is $40 US)
--just incase ya wanna know.

At the homepage there, follow a link that sez "Metaseqioia" for the Metasequoia
program which lets you build your own DoGA parts and exports them to DoGA...
that's how I built parts for these MZ mechas here.

I'll post more stuff later on when the movie is near-complete. ;D

Hey, I didn't disappear anywhere... although I don't get to spend
as much time online as I used to. But I will drop in more often.
Thanks for the compliments, Everyone!

I just bought a new Seagate 500gig external harddrive today,
so that will be solely used for this Mazinger movie project so
that I can render stuff faster. There's so much more I wanna do
for this project; but I'd rather take my time doing this one
right, and make it much better than my 2006 MZ movie
"Battle Of The Giants".

Tonight I will prepare to remodel all of my human characters
for this movie... starting with Ashura.
Later on this week or next, I will upload a photo collection
of 3D model renditions of my project's remodeled mechas thus far.

Someone commented on the audio music in these vid-bits...
...in MZ's Scrander scene, that music is my cover-version of
the theme track ripped from the OAV
"Mazinger-Z vs Ankogu Daishogun" when the mechabeats
appeared... I sampled the Horn/Trumpet section from that
classic music piece, and added them to my own synthesized
drum/bass tracks for a modern rock feel.
I've remixed a few of the classic MZ movie background themes
this way, for use in this MZ:AR project.
I've also composed some of my own themes....
