Hey gang, I've been looking all over the internet and can't fully identify everything I've got. I even searched the home page of this site up and down for them. Here's a bit of background. My family had a regional toy company in the 70's and 80's. Sometime in the mid to late 70's my dad brought these home from the NY Toy Fair. Some were opened and played with, others weren't. I've been carting this box around since the mid eighties when my father passed away and just discovered it again in the attic. Curiosity has this cat. FWIW, my sisters also have a box each of these, most all different. I know one is a Bullmark, but can't ID what it's called. Another is a Takatoku, but again, I can't ID it any farther. As for the others, I can't figure them out at all. I seem to remember being told they were prototypes, but I'm honestly not sure. Nothing comes up with their numbers and "Japanese transformers". Any help with their history and ID'ing would be great and much appreciated. Bullmark (#1650 on side of box) Takatoku Unknown PB-10 PA-83 PA-66 PA-73 PA-70 UFOAt PB-14 Again, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Nice collection. Welcome to the board! I don't think any are prototypes - these are standard issues, unless the treasures hidden in the boxes are different than the normal issues. They are, in the order of pictures posted: Bullmark Mekanda 1 jet Takatoku Bankid Mother DX Popy Daitetsujin 17 Shigcon Tank Popy Combattler Base Popy Kagestar Bellcar Popy Kagestar Kageboshi Popy Kyodain Sky Jet Popy Grendizer UFO Popy JAKQ Spade Machine If you need help identifying any more of these (like your sisters' stuff), feel free to post the pix. I hope you are planning on keeping these!

Man, that's awesome King! How in the world did you know that stuff so quickly?
I couldn't find jack! I guess if I'd have known "Popy" is would have made it easier.
Thanks a ton. Ken

I guess I've been collecting for too long! Or just devoting too much time to this hobby. Glad I could help.

Awesome stuff to find. They look in great shape. Wish I was lucky enough to find things like that lurking in the attic. Oh, and welcome to the boards.

Hey Kenp, welcome! KingboyD nailed it all. All I can say is learn the other company symbols, such as that Popy logo(the red oval, with a couple symbols with wheels), and others to give you a head start.
Great stuff.

Sweet stuff! So is there any chance that your relative worked for/visited Murakai Import co? I've never heard of people visiting NY Toy Fare and then purchasing toys... I'd love to hear details. This is a curiosity for me

This is a curiosity for me Thanks and I'm not sure about that. I was only about 10 at the time. However I highly doubt my dad visited them. He was in operations, not buying. Yeah, yeah, I know it doesn't make sense that someone in operations would go on a buying trip, but as I said, it was a family biz. My family had a chain of retail toy stores so these were samples. Dad always came home with the coolest stuff. ;D
