Just got him and he beat all my expectations. I look forward to the other Armor Plus figures.

I got my EX Gear Alto today, actually. It's pretty neat. It's a totally different base body from the Armor Plus Rekka no Ryo, which I'm thankful for because I wasn't a fan of that one. I think it's the SH Figarts body, as opposed to Ryo which used the Saint Seiya body. I wish Ryo had used this style instead, but that's another matter... It's a little fiddly as the legs are waaaay too heavy (but quite stable when standing, it's a tradeoff - diecast legs means no being unbalanced with the wings, but it also means the legs on the whole wobble around a lot when you pick him up or try to pose him in midair), and the shoulder armor is hugely restricted because of the perfect transformation gimmick of the armor. You can finesse it by unclipping it and sort of moving it around, but it's not ideal. Overall I'd say it's worth picking up, it's not often we get poseable Macross pilots, let alone ones that come with armor, yeah? Plus, you know, he's a pretty, pretty princess.

Looks like a nice toy. Frontier too much pop culture thingy for my taste. Never like the idea of kids in gundams or neophytes in mechs. Odd character choice but i guess it worked well for MF.
One question. Head gets swapped right?

One question. Head gets swapped right? Yes, the helmet is a swapped head. It's nicely done - you can see a fully detailed head inside it, although this also makes it a little creepy if you try to display him holding the helmet and you look a little too closely at it; a similar potential problem I had with the Beagle Ride Armors ;D Side note; I LOVE the way his hip joints are designed. Every human figure should have hip joints designed like this.
