Does anyone now when or if Macross Frontier will be released in the US? What do you mean? Isn't it already?  It seems Big West and Harmony Gold is still duking out the Macross thing...As someone said in another forum, they can splice in some Gundam and call it Macross 2! lol Harmony Gold will reach all time suckiness if they do that! ;D |

We can only hope that Harmony Gold's splicing machine has corroded or broken down over time or overuse. |

Just download the torrent  None of the good anime comes to America... just the cheap crap that American companies can license for next to nothing. Frontier was amazing, Legend Of Daiku Maryu was incredible as well. Shin Mazinger is looking pretty awesome. None of these will come to the US legitimately. We will just get more Inuyusha and Full metal Alchemist. |

I just had a funny thought about this (since I'm in the middle of finally getting off my butt and downloading the second half of the series in a torrent). Why doesn't Big West try to distribute Macross F themselves? Surely the non-first-TV-series is up for grabs beyond Harmony Gold's license for that which was used in Robotech. How else can you explain Manga Video's releases of Macross Plus (both OVA and theatrical versions) back in the 90s? Can't Big West say, 'well Macross Frontier is a brand new Intellectual Property that has nothing to do with the first series?' Bandai expanded their reach into the international markets with their "Anime Village property and released Gundam themselves, didn't they (unless I've misunderstood how that arrangement worked, I was under the impression that AV was a subsidiary of Bandai and Sunrise). And these days, Big West would have very little competition either since ADV-Films, arguably the biggest western anime distributor of its time, is all but liquidated at this point.
