Movies, TV series or videogames, it seems every franchise in existence has been, is being or will be rebooted. Next in line : MECHWARRIOR.
As said above, this is not Mechwarrior 5, but a fresh restart of the series. If nothing gets the axe before it goes gold, beside the obvious single-player story, the game should feature a four-player co-op campaign and multiple multiplayer (probably online) modes.
Coming to Xbox360 and PC. No release date announced yet.

I might be convinced to finally buy a new flight-stick controller if this makes it out. There was a time when I couldn't imagine PC gaming without a joystick... and now I realize I haven't played a PC game requiring on in about 15 years.

That looks awesome. I really wish they could make something like this on a console like the Steel Battalion.
The last game from them I played was in DOS and was called metal tech. It was pretty much mech warrior meets terminator.

I've never played a Mechwarrior game before. I wonder how customizable the controls are. If you could map the controls to a steering wheel's pedals and two joystick consoles (something similar to the Saitek S52), that could work great, like a makeshift Steel Battalion controller. Even better would be a PC driver for that said Steel Battalion controler. I think someone already made one, but it wasn't working %100. I don't remember exactly what was wrong with it. I think it was because Windows (or the USB port) couldn't handle all the axis at once on a single controller. Or something along those lines. I'll have to check it out again. If there's a chance that it might work with that game on PC, that would be awesome.
PS: After some research, it seems eveything works fine with the PC SB controller drivers. Joysticks, buttons and pedals. Cool. I'll have to try that.

AWESOME. That video totally reminded me of classic MW2/3/4 gameplay. Can't wait for more on this.
