Does anyone have God Magnus the newer Transformer auto carrier? I have seen it and think it is pretty cool, but how do the other similar releases compare? For instance there was a fire truck and other big rigs from about 2000.

When I first saw pics of God Magnus in 2000, I thought he was going to be the coolest robot ever. I was a little disappointed. He's very cool looking in both modes, but he can only carry three cars, you need to detach and reattach arms and legs to transform him, and two tiny screws in his calves are all that keep him able to stand and support his own weight. If you display him standing, you'll need to retighten the screws every once in a while. All in all, I'd say he isn't worth it unless you're gonna get Super Fire Convoy too, simply because the combined God Convoy mode is a lot of fun, and has a lot of potential for custom transformations. In fact, here are three of mine: spacebridge2000.tripod.com/up1.htmlspacebridge2000.tripod.com/up2.htmlspacebridge2000.tripod.com/up3.htmlSuper Fire Convoy is awesome in regular robot mode, the larger robot mode is just okay, and I think the fire truck is a little disappointing. Just my thoughts.

I like him, but I would get the us version. He is fun in vehicle mode, OK in robot mode, and the combined mode with fire convoy is nice, if a little top heavy. I just wish they released the sword in the US.
When you press the button on him you hear "Ultra magnet transform!"

The sword was only available in a limited edition Convoy/Magnus set anyway I have the Japanese versions, and I have to say that it's really amusing to hear them shout in Japanese. I don't think there's any other difference between the American and Japanese Magnus release (aside from a large Autobot symbol on the American version that looks cool), but the Japanese Fire Convoy's missile launchers are definitely more impressive.
