Shiny indeed. I grew up watching this cartoon, and even played all those great 4 player arcade games, but for whatever the reason, ninja turtles figures just isn't appealing to me. They are like WWF /WWE figures to me. If you do purchase, let us know how it is.

haha! that character IS, i think, the first TMNT i bought back in the 1990s. I've still got that version of the character too. I actually prefer that version over this one from the comics or 200X TV series. Better colors and not as defenceless looking. Emerje

I saw that "new" fugitoid yesterday as well...
I say "new" because I am almost certain that it is actually a reissue of a figure that they released a few (10+) years ago. The original accurately modeled figure was simply cast in a medium gray (with a silver-ish swirly flecking) plastic and included guns that clipped onto his forearms and that were attached to a backpack by semi-flexible hoses. The figure was more-or-less identical to the original fugitoid comic design without the backpack, but for some reason it never really caught on with me and didn't stay on display very long. It was likely just too late for me to have much interest in it any longer...
I also still have the old "gold" fugitoid (along with the turtles, casey, april, splinter, usagi yojimbo, shredder, foot soldiers, and a handful of other items) from the original line from +/-20 years ago now. I have to agree that despite the fact that the original toy is completely inaccurate when compared to the original comic design it definitely has more "character" than the figure from a few years back did.
All of that said, I considered picking one of these up for a brief moment, but ultimately decided against it since it a) does appear to simply be a reissue of the older one with (likely poorly applied) vac metal chrome finish that would likely suffer the same fate as the last one, and b) I'm still ticked at Playmates for how they blocked NECA from making any more of their beautifully done TMNT figures from last year. The NECA TMNT being the only domestic figures that I've purchased since Xevoz ended...

i actually don't like CHROMED figures because of the Zem figure i had as a kid and the C3PO that had their chrome wear off, and underneath was the most UGLY blend of left-over plastic.

I hate chrome that fades and takes on the matt colour of whatever it's reflect. I don't know if you know what I mean. I'm always afraid that this will happen whether I touch the chrome bits with my fingers or not. A fully chromed figure like Fugitoid? That's just asking for disappointment, IMHO.

Well I if I was to get one I wouldn't display it with my SOC's but as something I'm put on my work desk, yeah I'd get one. It reminds me of another figure but I just can't remember the name.

That looks nice... ...I'd probably get one, and have it displayed in my work area at my job... folks would see it and it'll be kinda like a "prelude" into the robot toys I'm Really into.
I wouldn't feel safe displaying any of my Maz'es at work, because the heat in the shop would damage them.
