Black Tracks

What do you all know about the Black Tracks? Was the black color chosen for an "exclusive" and/or was it an anime color?

Last I heard, it was suspected to be a super limited edition Takara convention prize, much like clear "Lucky Draw" Convoy. A few were liberated prior to the convention by someone who is probably no longer working for Takara.

Has anyone gotten this yet or the YELLOW tracks

I would love to hear your comments and thoughts. Did you think it was of a high quality or a bit disappointing?

Hard to say about Black Tracks' quality. Obviously, no one who gets it wants to remove it from the box.

Crap, I meant sideswipe. I thought, though, it is know as tigertracks...the Lambo Countach.

I have some black tracks pictures if you are interested in seeing them.

Yep. He's known as Tigertracks, but seeing as how no one has any idea who Crosscut or Roadrage are, I just call him Yellow Sideswipe

I've seen a bunch of Black Tracks pictures, but I haven't seen a single one of him in robot mode. Everyone's afraid to take him out and transform him.

I have one and will transform him. I think it is just stupid not to check out your robots for the sake of MSIB markers. . If you ask me, I can forge an MSIB toy and so can the rest of the world. When it comes to antiques it is actually a big plus to be able to see the product.

Actually the Black tracks is not a tough toy if you want one. Again, like so many prototypes.... many black tracks are out there in numbers because of some late night workers. You will find quite a few boxed Tracks with no address labels etc. on them. Go Figure.
