hey does anyone think that the will do a respect for box version like they did with voltes V? this figure also had the godaikin treatment like voltes did and that is what that version was based off of. i would love to see it with the brighter anime colors and markings, does anyone remember how long it took for that version to come out after the first Voltes V release?

Hi all,
SOC GX-31 Voltes V was released in 2006 (which got me to start collecting Super Robots shown in the 1970's on Philippine TV).
The GX-31V Respect Version came out 2 years after, in 2008.
Cheers,

is the base only for gx-50 or can you put gx-03 in it?

You could probably fit GX-03 in it, that's probably why you can buy one without the coupon that comes with GX-50 plus the Battle Machines are more or less the same size in both versions.

I finally got the GX-50. A vast improvement over the GX-03. Still.. I guess I was expecting a little too much from Bandai. I would of loved to have more ratcheted joints and a greater range of motion in the hip area. Nice redesign though.. I especially like the improved head sculpt and its ball jointed head.

I actually prefer the metallic color of the GX-03. The non pose-ability of GX-03 really isnt that big of a deal for me. The only gripe I ever had with it was the dang tank rollers on the back fall off with the slightest breathe. And since i've heard GX-50 suffers the same flaw I think its safe for me to keep my money in my pocket this time ;D. The color of GX-50 is anime accurate but I can live without it.

I just got mine and the box itself looks great. I did open up to take the coupon out to get a 3000 yen off the base. The base is like around 13-14k yen... So which isnt too bad. But boy the internet guys are really pumping up the price. I took out the coupon to give to the seller so he could get me the base itself. He told me it wouldnt be within 200 arrival to me. Good day for me

If Bandai had any sense they would sell the base as Web exclusive AND then offer it as a model kit or something.

Thought I express some opinions on this robot... It is ok. But I guess with all the soc weve collected you become a little jaded... lol. The transformation of the body was pretty straight forward but i can be a little to untransform... it took me 15 min to separate the machines... Especially the torso which you need to push in from the top to get to loosen up the chest. The side wings though and the tank wheels are a bit cheesy still.. They keep on falling off because it is loose... But overall a nice hefty item. But I am still waiting patiently for my seller to get me the base... heres hoping. :

Hi temujen,
If I am not mistaken, your Combattler V with a silver sticker on the box includes a discount coupon for purchasing the Nanbarra Connection base.
Savings with that coupon is around Yen 3,000. HTH.

It sure would be nice to have a contact in Japan so that they can help in getting those Japan-only limited goodies.

We have members here that do provide a service like that, of course there is a small fee. Also I believe that this is limited to one per person/Mailing address but I'm not sure.
