how's the quality of the armor set? is it worth it?

Oh yes, it is worth it ! ! !
It's a big respect to Shoji Kawamori's designs.
Frontier serie is a kind of macross renewal... and this VF with this armor make you feel it.
About the toy, the VF itself is very well design and manufactured ; the armor suit well
and give it a real bad*ss look ! (simply watch the pictures).
Its very well detailed and comes with a lot of missile storage you can open...
A must have for me !

Hey ! you got 2 for display ! This clear stand fit it well ! It rocks !...
(I am waiting the armor parts for my Alto !)
-> I got a problem with the armor parts connected to the arms...
In jet mode, they allways pop out :
(the attach is a little triangle on a side, and a clip on the other side)
When I try to put the arm perfectly align, the armor parts pop out,
especialy when I clip the wings to the legs...
Do you have any tips for that ?

Thanks lejam! I wanna get Alto's Armor pack too and can't wait. But again, pricey when they reach online.
Regarding the forearm armor, better not to put it when in fighter mode. It won't be noticed so it's ok, just like the groin armor. I rather connect the gunpod. They should have used magnets on that part. Wrong designing. Might modify mine when I get a chance.

Get one, chen! It looks nice on every mode.
Or if you want the forearm armors on fighter mode, just don't level the forearm w/ armors to the shoulder, w/ that, the armor will stay in place.

The super parts makes the valk meaner looking, the Armored parts make Ozma and Alto's valk more meaner, sick, and kick-a$$!!!  Both super and armored packs are worth having, surely expensive though. vic01 |

I personally love my VF-25s... sure the Gerwalk mode is not as cool as it could be, but overall they are really fun to play with and sturdy. Lots of accessories available too.

I really like these. But what makes me nervous to get one is the luke warm to downright bad reviews collection dx gives the whole series of DX Chogokin. Treat these like solid display piece and you are good to go. They won't break as easy as fragile Yamatos, has some nice weight, and very solid and playable on its own. But with attached armor, it can get fiddly, with some pieces easier to pop off than others, and occasion a lemon looser joint or two that is hard to fix (they seal up the screw holes pretty good). I like them quite a bit, and got myself a couple. But I wouldn't say they are the best Macross toys ever made. |

I am pretty happy with mine. It is much more solid than my Yamatos. It would be cool if they offered the armor packs separate to put on the other versions.

Tempting... but I already have the (inferior now?) Alto version... if only there was an armor kit for the Alto!
