TF Prototypes-- Does anyone have any transformers prototypes or experience purchasing them. I've recently purchased a few and it just feels weird .... Most all of the sellers are overseas and have pretty stealthy names. Then from what I hear Hasbro doesn't like protots to leave the factory. THEN. How the heck do you figure out how rare they are. How many TEST shots can there be before the toy is produced. Thoughts?!

Over at ADC, where I mod at, it was reported that those test shots are being made by Hasbro/Takara employees late night during off hours, and are not technically made by Hasbro/Takara themselves. That's how Tin-Tin-Happy got clear Jazz and Prowls made with Takara/Hasbro molds that neither Takara nor Hasbro even knew they made.

That is some REALLY interesting news Omega. I appreciate the insight! So do you reside in the US or overseas? I assume from your comments that you either work for or know Hasbro employees. It is nice to have you here on the BBS! Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome, and I live in the US but keep my eyes as open as I can. here's the link: adctalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=1935559I am the mod called "Morbo" there. It does explain why a proto/test shot dealer will usually only carry Hasbro or some other company instead of dealing in an assortment of toys from different companies. It also explains why they're comparably cheap in price too.
