Collectability wise, (rare prototypes aside) nothing will ever beat a MISB Type 1A Optimus Prime in terms of demand. Someone is ALWAYS going to want that.
Rarer items like Artfire and Stepper are the most valuable right now, but a rerelease could easily destroy their collectability.
Then there's Jetfire, Omega Supreme, and the other non-Takara TFs that will probably never be reissued. Still, I think a MISB Prime wins out.
Prime isn't my favorite, but when I first came back to toy collecting, you can bet he was the first toy I wanted. I think most folks feel that way.
