I bought 2 Daimos : 1 Popy & 1 Godaikin , sometimes ago and after awhile I regret it. In fact, I am beginning to really dislike the robot. Maybe because of its lack of die cast , its strange truck transformation or maybe it is way too short compare to Voltes & Combattler.
I really am thinking to sell it , but still not sure. About 40:60. so it is really close. Any suggestion?

If you feel regret then sell it. The joy of collecting is only if you adore your hauls. I'm sure someone will take care of it.

Sounds like you should ask yourself why you collect. If you feel this way about a toy you sought out, and now "beginning to really dislike the robot", perhaps you should sell them all. If you don't get joy from this hobby, you are wasting your time, and money.

watch some daimos episodes again. or watch starbirds an abbreviated version of daimos. So u get an idea if u still like the character. Or you could have a draw daimos contest and give it to the victor.

Tx, guys for the advice(s). I always had had reservation about Daimos but eventually gave in because it is the only Popy dx from 1978 so it was more in 'completing all the years' kind a sense. I don't think I have wasted my time and money for my other collection, though. As a matter of fact, they are worth every penny and this hobby is one of several good things that keep me in the rail this last 8 month.
Just this Daimos. Popy DX Combattler, you can feel its strength just by looking at its box, Voltes, a masterpiece that even dwarf combattler than come Daimos.... It's really a let down
I am really toying around with idea of selling it but, I will take up the advice of watching daimos anime first and see how it goes.
or, maybe I better keep this thought to myself in case I annoy anyone about this thing. Too bad, I always thought I can discuss anything here , even a bit wacky topic such as this , as long as I stay in the boundary of good manner and friendliness , and not be judged because of it

Dude, no one is judging you. It just sounded like you purchased the piece for the wrong reasons. Just to have completion is not the reason to collect for me. I am missing many pieces that I don't feel are necessary to feel good about my collection. I have the ones I want, and that is what matters. Don't take what I typed in a negative matter. It's all just dicussion about this hobby. We should always questions ourselves, and why we do things. That is good healthy self reflection. It's also a good thing to hear you say that the rest of your collection brings you joy. That tells us that you are in it for the right reasons. Sell that Daimos if it doesnt "do it" for you. I just find it hard to relate sometimes, as I grew up with these toys, so I get what I remember from my youth, and heavily research before buying new toys, so I am usually hard-pressed to part with something once it's on the shelf.

well, after much consideration and watching Daimos on youtube (as I do not own the series), I decided that Daimos is a great toy afterall , and one(s) that I actually had done quite a bit of research before purchasing it(s).
