I have been having trouble getting my orders to go through on hobby search ( www.1999.co.jp/eng/mecha/). When I try to place an order recently I get a "Internet traffic is heavy now, please try again later." error. I have tried the order with three different credit cards, and at all times of day. Has anyone else run into this? I like to order from them because their prices are competitive, and I like their points system which rewards repeat customers.

I order from hobby search quite often magnus, however I have never faced the issue you seem to have. Have you tried getting in touch with them to see if the issue is at their end?

I have contacted them but we just keep going round and round.
They asked me to check if there is a problem with my card, there isn't.
They asked me to use a different browser, I did, still nothing.
I checked my firewall settings, no dice.
I am really at a loss, I am almost ready to order from HLJ and forget it.

have you tried using different computers and is this the first time you ordering from them or have you done so before. It may even be possible that your cc is declining the charges...

Hey Magnus, The Question Here what Makes you order from Hobby search in the First Place ?? Nothing that I have against them but I can see that they are blocked by the Web server in some countries. If I were you I will be shooting For HLJ in No time. ;D I really wish that your problem will get solved ASAP. Thanx

well he stated before that they give points and they do generally have cheaper prices then Hlj but they only ship ems, which can negate all savings.

I always ship EMS just to be safe, so the price comparison holds.
And yes I have tried different computers and different networks.
I donno what to try next.

EUREKA!!
As it turns out there WAS a problem with my credit card.
I called customer service a number of times and they said everything was fine. However, when I mentioned it was a foreign transaction they transferred me to the account security department, and they found the problem.
My account was putting a hold on foreign transactions. They removed the hold and everything is now hunky-dory. All my Hobby Search orders are going through without a hitch.
So if anyone ever has a problem like this, check the security on your account, there may be a problem that customer service can't see or help with.
