The differences are subtle (aside from the head) with the newer iteration basically Squidward becoming a pink robot.  The variants Bandai can do to milk this mold is frankly, limitless...and suckers like me will keep forking over the $$$.  Mine is still in the PoL system with AE. I'll ship it in a month or two. Char's Zaku II was the only one that held its value after release as it was the first and being the most iconic Zaku of them all. But green Zaku II and Char's Zaku I both got price dropped soon after release. Something to think about if you plan to collect more. Preordering early at retail price may not the best move if you want to save some money. Char's Zaku I has been pretty cheap on Amazon Japan for more than a week now from multiple marketplace sellers (still shipped by Amazon). I probably have enough Zakus from this line. The GM will be my next target. Since my first ever Gundam toy was a GM model kit when I was like 5, I gotta get my hands on that nice GFFMC GM.  |

The general price from Mandarake and Amazon Japan went back up slightly at around 17000 - 19000yen, but shipping will bring it up more. USAGundam still has it on sale. I haven't been looking but you could check BBTS, Toy-Source, et al to see. Amazon may also have it for a nice price. |

The purple Zaku I is actually very nice, retaining the original design and silhouette. Just that I don't think I need a 4th Zaku in this line, and my wallet is telling me GFFMC is definitely not the line to build armies with. |

I just recently unpacked my GFFMC Zakus since I have recently moved. I had forgot how much I really enjoy them. I passed on the yellow RX-78 and Char's Zaku I. I may have missed out on the Gundam, but the price for Char's Zaku has really come down.

I may have missed out on the Gundam, but the price for Char's Zaku has really come down. Yup. Price of Char's Zaku I is going crazy low. It was 12000+ yen a few days ago. Back up to mid 13000 yen now, but still really cheap.
