Found out at the site where I mod at that Hasbro is now cracking down on test shots and early releases since they both reveal things earlier than Hasbro would like them to as well as the fact that many (not all) are stolen, so if you own that then make it disappear fast!
They're more interested in going after the Ebay dealers for the time being as well as sites that leak pics of stuff Hasbro didn't want the public to know about though. The part about them not wanting to leak news is usually the result of Toyfare magazine wanting exclusive "first look" rights to sell their crappy magazine against the net where news is instant, or some other source of news like a convention or other magazine. We had to take the pics off our site because of Toyfare, which p*ssed me off because I had to go across the net biting the heads off of people using our pics on other sites, which I did not enjoy. It was just because of Toyfare getting Hasbro to strong-arm us so they can sell their magazine with their "first look at Unicron" and make some money. I guess freedom of the press only belongs to those who can offer Hasbro profits through exclusives sold through the magazine............
Anyway I'm digressing.....there are now reports that Uni somehow made it onto some store shelves, and I have been searching for it since then. I've been waiting for it since 1986 and am glad to see it finally coming. It looks nice but personally I like the BW NEO Unicron the most and wish that too got released.

Sure no prob. Hasbro has taken an unusually forceful turn when it comes to early-release pics as well as early-release test shots and samples themselves, so it's better to be safe. Hasbro does troll boards too. That's how they found out that we posted Unicron pics before the Toyfare magazine issue with them came out. If there's only one Armada prototype that I'd like to own it has to be Unicron!! Plus its so darn cool with the transparent shell. Great find Ed!!! But one day... I'll be owning more prototypes than u. |
