Saw the bumblebee, soundwave and sideswipe today at a local specialised toy store..They are indeed very small. Bumblebee is about 4cm from bumper to bumper.. but they are very detailed. You get Laserbeak with Soundwave and Ive been told that laserbeak also transforms! Hard to believe hey!! Ahh...you gotta love technology.. The packaging is kinda unique as well...they dont have a box cover or anything..just a cardboard backing and clear plastic case over the top. The transformer is exposed and kinda "floats" in the middle. You can also see the TAKARA catalogue underneath. The Bumblebee and Sideswipe was selling for $10.95 AUD and the Soundwave $12.95 AUD. Cheap enough to pick one up without hesitation...but it didnt really grab me. Now if they were made out of die-cast...it may be a different story. I hear that Prime's head and feet are made out of die-cast..

I finally got them in. In my first order, it was for a dozen, and got seven Bumblebee's, four Sideswipes, and one Starscream. On my second order, I ordered two, and got the chase Skywarp as well as Prime's trailer. Now I need Prime himself and Soundwave. They're cool but I'm not gonna get myself so desperate that I'll run off to Ebay to get them.
There are too many damn Bumblebee's. I gave a couple away to my mom (Bumblebee is her favorite) and still have left-overs. Since they're so common they're not very good trading fodder. I painted one Sidewswipe black and another yellow, and plan on painting one Bumblebee blue like the convention one as well as silver like a Brazilian Plastirama one.
Buying random ones is still cheaper than paying the Ebay prices for the rare ones though.
My favorite is of course the seeker pair. They're more like the originals with one added thing the big originals don't have: retractable front landing gear, which I think is a nice touch.
