Day-am! Wish that weren't the case. How about the blue and yellow Units? I should be getting the yellow Unit 00 on Monday hopefully... Guess I'll buy Dull Red one last... The 00 Prototype, and 00 Test Type are okay. I think I like 'em better, even if I didn't get any of the EVA's. Get the 00 Prototype (Yellow) and get that bada$$ed sniper rifle. The 00 Test Type, has the Spear Of Longinus. Bill, The colors aren't that noticeable if you don't look at the toy from all sides. You'll notice the lighter shade of maroon on the entry plug cover, some of the "rib armor" and on one 02 that I've seen, the back of the thighs.

The Red Eva, just like its pilot Asuka causes no end of arguments. I have no complaints about mine at all, even though the vermilion color lacks the luster of the candy apple purple on Unit One. There are minor issues with shoulder, hip, and knee joints being too tight or too loose throughout the Evangelion series. (and face it- there is only one Evangelion toy. It comes in six different colors, but it's the same toy.) The problems are not confined to any one issue in particular. Nonetheless, (maybe it's some sort of 'Asuka Curse') the GX 15 does seem kind of jinxed. And don't worry. The blue and yellow issues are both great pieces.
Final note: I'm working on the write-up on the GX15, and I'll get some pictures done today too. And, unless someone else wants to do GX16, & 17, I'll go ahead with those as well. JWM

I still like the fool thing too, the accessories alone will make up for it.

Thanks man! Believe it or not, I had the same opinion of the Gunbelt for Zambot Ace. But it's really different when you see and hold the toy for yourself. Zam Ace actually looks good with the Gunbelt. ;D Josh, Glad to be of assistance.

Excellent, informative review. I may have to bump Zambot up on my list of future SOC purchases. Grendizer looks like a dwarf next to the Zambot.

K im done with GX-01R. For conveniences, i just post it here: With the Mazinger GX-01R in hand, you can easily amazed by His solid look, plus the metallic feeling of the upper arms/legs. His face sculpture is indeed vivid and nice looking, however it is the face designed for the consequence anime of Mazinger: the Great Mazinger instead of original mazinger animation, which make him, doesn’t look that much anime accurate this way. He comes with three different kinds of arms, one with blade, one with open-able Drill missile, and regular arms. He also has four kinds of hands, two kinds are fists, and one kind is regular hand and one with holes that can hold swords. (Which is not included in this set) Another great feature about GX-01R is that his missiles for the stomach actually fire! You can take off the stomach plate and put the missile in, when press the hidden bottom at his right waist, boom!! Jetscar ander is another key feature of this set. The wings can be adjusted up and down freely, and it can be attached to his waist tightly. Also included with the set is a plastic stand, which can hold up everything, (except the box itself, lol) and three tiny red Hover Pileders. One of them can be put on to his head. (Gibberish!) However, the chromed part will fall off or getting oxidized eventually unless you put it into a dustless container. Second of all, the plastic looks of the chest plates destroyed its solid feeling in some way. (This also happen to GX-02 and GX-23) Also, the head looks ugly in compare with the original GX-01. Other than the face, there’s one key improvement which make its price 1000yen higher than the original GX-01: the GX-01R is obviously much taller than GX-01! The length of their bodies and the lower part of the legs are the same, but GX-01R have longer upper legs (the chromed part), and the upper part of its arms (the chromed part) are also longer than GX-01. Further more, the stomach of GX-01R looks much better than GX-01 (the stomach of GX-01 makes it looks more like a toy than a piece of art) because the stomach plate that where the missile fires fits very well, in comparison with the “door shape” stomach plate of GX-01. As we can tell from the picture, the accessories of GX-01R are a lot more than GX-01. Gx-01R have 3 missiles, two stomach plates, 3 Hover Pileders (GX-01 have 2), and one of the most important part, the Jetscar ander(Red wing attached to its back) is ASSEMBLED(for GX-01, you need to cut off the trees and build it up, which makes the value of built set went down a lot)! Further differences can be found from the picture, the tail of Jetscar Ander of GX-01R is longer than GX-01, plus when u put the two jets onto their bodies, the GX-01 has a more “bulky” look in comparison with GX-01R. In conclusion, GX-01R is more closer to what we called “ piece of art” than GX-01. It doesn’t require any kind of assembly and looks better over all. In my opinion, this toy is one of the must have for robot collectors. I will rate it 85 out of 100.

Btw, I was wrong about the Silver Eva being worst equipped... that honor should go to the Yellow Eva who has really skimpy extras!

Cedar, My system is set up for 8 pictures per review due to the enormous amount of pictures I post at a large size. I draw the line there so it wont kill my server. I can add more, but it adds quite a bit of extra work. I add extra pictures in cases of like Dancouga, where 8 pictures simply isn't enough to show all the modes. If you want, feel free to post the pics i didnt use here. Sometimes pictures don't make the cut due to them being out of focus, or too similar to other photos in the review. Not saying yours were, just sayin'........ *EDIT* Just looked at the review, and you're right, theres only 6.. I got two emails from you with 3 pictures each for this review. Were there more? GX-22 is up: www.collectiondx.com/viewrecord.asp?ID=182

For GX-21, I believe that there was a 3rd attachment with him displayed with the box. But no matter! I just wanted to make sure you had them all.
