Hi guys ! I am currently working with a new designer toy brand nammed LE LAB.It's a friend of mine who created this new company. He designed the Playing Art, a kind of ape-toy... Three 8 inches versions (20 cm) paint-designed by 3 artists will come out next week : BALI-BALI design by Spasm OneWOODI design by AroMOON-K design by LeJam... myself (the pictures are prototypes... I sent a last retake to the factory...) The Eyes are removable stickers (a sheet with different eyes is included in box) and the paint is fully glossy ! A white DIY (do it yourself) version will come out too. and new models will come out... soon... Now I am pretty busy with this release. I will tell you more and send new photos... Enjoy !

i like the white one very much... Moon-K... very robotic-like (not the same as "robot-like" to me). i love white and black robots!
have you promoted them over at designer toy forums? i've never seen them before, i think other people might like them too... best of luck, these are very good designs!

Nice!! Best of luck to you! Those are some really great paint schemes, I hope they sell well.
Btw, as someone into DIY's would you mind taking a look at my start up's Concept and letting me know what you think? We're trying to get it ready for a winter release.

Thank you ! We started promoting the toys in the main french toy forum nammed AltertoysPlaying art serie 1 is the first toys to be released by Le Lab (it's a brand new company) including 2 others designs : Marcel & Jessica -> flickrBut we are on a very big rush, because we got some delay in china with the factory (typhoon, national fest...). ( I give them too much retakes to do -> perfectionism... ^__^ ) so it's not easy being everywhere to "spread the word". On the Playing Art Serie 1, I am in charge of the Moon-K design... I proposed the paint scheme to my friend who loved to produce it on his toy design. I gave him the love for robots... then he ordered me to design a new toy for a 2011 release (shape + paint scheme). Now we are on the last rush... the toys will come out next week (hope for that....). Each got his own box designed by the artist... mine is a container you can unfold (by cuting just one edge) to turn it into a secret lab... (it's a double face printed box) I do not have my sample on hand... so this is a 3d rendering) Now I am very busy with mareketing things and new features you will have for the toy... -> gpa : are you talking about your Gremlin World website ? (what is your start up's Concept ?)

Very cool, I'm going to have to pick one of these up once I get rolling on my new job. Really like those prototype shots, too! Can't wait to see those painted. As for the concept my group is working on it's called THOR, you can see the prototype here: 3.bp.blogspot.com/_PfTPcXiFVlY/SoZw69MjqqI/AAAAAAAAACE/xjgpJakyOxw/s1600-h/Thorcutoutweb2.jpgWe're thinking of doing a limited release of 25 figures, and we'll be casting them in resin since we can't afford a wider vinyl release and making the mold and everything ourselves. Please let me know what you think!

Nice work !
About hands : the right hand looks very different from the left one. Maybe you should give more "softness" to it, specially to the primary articulation of the thumb and maybe sculpting fingers... even if they are sticked together...
It's a shape very graphic, giving a lot of possibilities for the paint job. Well done !

Thanks for the feedback! I'll pass your comments on to our sculptor! Having something that was really easy to customize was our main goal, and we wanted to make this figure a really open canvas.
