So what's the straight scoop on there being 2 versions of Takara's Smokescreen WRX?
I hear there is one with a #7 and one with a #8. Was there a reason behind this....other than increased sales?

Sounds like good, old fashioned cashing in on fanboys to me. Nice as Smokescreen looks it's going to take more than a different number to make me buy a second one.

I know I promised myself from straying and buying toys not in my "to buy" list, but the Alternator Smokescreen is starting to look good!

Assuming there are no problems with the licensing, the race decals and driver names should be printed on the toy, #7 Car driven by Petter Solberg, co by Phil Mills and #8 driven by Tommy Makinen, co by Kaj Lindstrom . I think the #8 car is going to be highly sought after because its prestigious driver (Tommy Makinen) just recently announced retirement, (if his name is actually printed on at release time)...How sweet is that to have a TF commemorate this!!! EDIT You can go to www.swrt.com for info on the actual team.
