anyway.. how many saint seiya?
well, the saint seiya collection have 2 stages:
1-the original figures from 1988 to the 200X reissues and new molds , these are called "vintages" in the saint seiya world .
you an find some info of these and the complete list here:

2-and the newer ones,called saint seiya myth cloth; better designed and articulated,more anime accurate (altrought the early ones in the line had ugly faces, they later fixes somes with the appendix line, that replace the short necks and ugly faces and hair and even some comes with new parts for the cloth or armor.)
i collect the later ones, saint seiya myth cloth. these regulary are each one arund $50-$60.00 each. however, some regular figures are a little bit more expensive , like the poseidon royal ornament (110.00) and the god warrior of asgard phedcak gama thats cost around $90.00 . the gods hypnos and thanatos are around $85.00 each one.
but the real expensives are the one sold at conventions or toy shows. these sold as high as $290.00 like the pack thats comes with the pope shion and shion spectre. and the OCE figures (original color edition-manga color-) the other one being so expensive are the 24K gold plated seiya V3.
in the saint seiya myth cloth line, so far they have releases these ones:
5-bronze cloth V2 armor
5-bronze cloth V3 armor
2- bronze god cloths (3 more in the way next year)
12-gold cloth
5-secundary charaters bronze armor
8-marinas armor (including poseidon )plus poseidon royal ornament edition.
7- god warrior (asgard saga)
2- silver saint (cristal and orpheus)
3- hades generals
3- gold specters
2-hades gods (hypnos and thanatos)
10-appendix
4- premium campain (these are pope shion,athena,pandora and shun hades)
2- lost canvas (tenma and the november release kagaho)
.... these are from the top of my head right now. the next releases are these:
november -kagaho bennmu
december- seiya in odin armor
jan 2010- cancer spectre and mizar bud.
next year are the dragon god cloth, bronze v1 series, silver series , lost canvas charaters and some appendix and the premium for 2010 hylda polaris.

anyway, for example when i said:
12-gold saints i said 12 diferetns characters from the zodiac of the yer. aries,tauro,gemini,libra,aquario, etc.
the main bronze cloth characters (seiya,shiryu,shun,hyoga,ikki) have 3 diferent evolution in the cloth or armor. these are called in saint seiya world as V1 armor (first edition) V2 armor (reborn cloth) V3 armor (final cloth) the 5 main protagonist have too the ultimate armor called God cloth used in the elyssium chapter.

This is the full list of new Saint Seiya myth clothes..... it would be quite expensive and no cool price if you want all of them: www.tamashii.jp/item/itemlist.php?pref=50And you have to know the story and characters in order separate them into different group, if you just want to separate them by color you may find 20 gold ones, a few silver and a few colorful ones, which is totally not related to the story. Trying to separate Saint Seiya character by color is like separate the Getter-3 series by color, which end up you would get a few red, white and yellow.... |

yeah i was wondering how many charactes there are because they seem to come out with a new one every month for like the past 4 yrs lol. I have only one, griffon, I was meaning to collect the signs that are in my family but they are pretty expensive and you cant do much with them when all the armor is on because it falls off very easily and most are hard to stand on thier own (at least griffon was). Still they are cool, and back in the day i would of collected a lot of these. Thanks for the info guys
