Ok just got Vardant this weekend Ill have more pics up eventually, but so far he is frigging awesome! he is as articulated and detailed as the previous installment of linebarrles however he has the masive shield/wing span! It was a bit of a pain to fold all of those parts colsed. He is very heavy with these shield parts on, and impossible for him to stand on his own with them on...... (however he is capable of standing on his own do to his foot folding out) however the stand hold him fairly well, not sure how hell fair once the shields are opned up fully though. He comes with blades.......... lots and lots of blades lol. he has two single blands and two dual blades that mount to his hands so he can hold four blades at once. He also comes with over a doezen sheathed blades, however these are not painted. each of these blades can be housed inside the shileds, though I have yet to attempt this. Ill try and get pics of him and the other linebarrels together. So far, I highly recomend these figures....... especially if your a fan of the designs....... Id say they are the best figures but I have yet to expierence CM's attempt.

Nope no diecast whastever..... but its not super expensive consiering its size and detail. Kotobukiya's model is around $45+ (even though Koto's kits are a bit expensive) this guy is around $60 and he moves like a charm. Only thing is lots of visable screw holes but nothing too detracting!

Got this guy on sale the other day, ended up being $60 shipped which I can't complain about too much. I just can't resist the look of those wing binders, no matter how much I hate the show.
Pics of my own once he gets here (whcih could be a while, since he's coming SAL)

Next Up Vardant Vardant is pretty much capable of everything is counterpart is but his shoulder armor is less intrusive, but his leg joints are slightly loose but nothing to be overly concerned with unless you plan on doing flying poses which you wont be able to do much of with the shield bits attached anyway. Also the stand is a must (as ugly as it is) if you want to display vardant with the shield bits since they are too heavy for him to handle alone. Shield bits have three forms, retracted (pictured above), extended, and defensive (no these aren't the accurate names). Vardant comes with two swords, two double swords, 16 sheathed blades (non painted), and several optional hards. First up Defensive postion. This position isnt that hard to accomplish but the joints that hold the shields are not strong enough to hold them completely up so they droop. this makes raising the figure imposible and vardant needs to have his feet planted on something solid or he will topple over. It may be possible to balance the figure using the shileds as support without the stand but I didnt bother. I also dont know if you can try tightening the screws that hold the shields to make them stronger, wasnt worth the trouble and possibilty of causing damage if you ask me. Extended position This is achieved by the use of several tabs, that are a bit of a pain insert between the shields espeically since if your not careful when your working on another section another tab pops out else where. What is most frustrating is putting on the completed shiled sets on Vardant, since a lot of movement can cause the tabs to come loos so you have to be really careful and you need to make sure that the shields are securely instereted into vardant or they will fall out! As you can see they are quite sturdy once in place and I even transported the figure down a flight of stairs (albeit carefully) and they stayd in place (hint hold figure by the shields while appllying central pressure towards the figure itself). Another note, this position also calls for vardant to be planted to the ground, the stand is just not strong enough for the figure this way. You wont be able to move the figure much either. Few more poses.

Glad you like!
I have a very small spare room where I house all my wares, but I already dont have enough room for everything. So, my collection has slowly taken over my basement...... but its in dire need of severe organization! lol Needless to say, the wife is none too happy!
