Yeah. I caught a glimpse of that too. Would you believe I'm actually disappointed? The toy is just too large. Who needs a car robot that big?

So can anyone confirm the diecast content in Smokescreen? I had heard it was there....but the prototype was plastic.

Can't confirm from personal experience yet, I should be getting mne in the next week or two. But I've read on a couple of forums that most of the car-mode body shell is made from diecast. From what I've seen of it so far, I'm really looking forward to getting mine.

I am not a TF fan, but oh boy do I want!
How tall will it be in inches when it comes out?
Hope it is "affordable"!

I found this mini review of the BT-01 Smokescreen at ToyboxDX.

My understanding all along was that the Takara version contained Diecast and the Hasbro version contained either less or no diecast. Takara apparently contains about 10% die cast. This should be the same with the Prime. Hasbro as NO diecast on their versions. I'll be getting the Hasbro instead. Cheaper, and impossible to get paint chips when you start playing with it!
