i'm new to this forum and not sure if this subject have been discussed. i added a panel line to my 1/48 vf-1s because when i saw the model i felt something is missing and i have a few more coming but i'm not sure if i should custom it or not. i'm not thinking about selling it but i don't what to do something that would lower the value of my collection. so i need you guys' opion or advice. should i do it or shouldn't i? thanks

If you are not going to sell them then the street value does not really matter does it? In that case the aesthetics of your collection seems to take precedence, so I say mod away.

Do what you like, if you plan on keeping it and want it to stand out then do the panel lines.

I agree, if you're going to keep it, it may as well look its best and on top of that, you will have something to be proud of when the mod is complete!
I did that with my Low-Viz... that thing could have been worth a ton of money, but I'm so much happier after I finished with my custom decals and everything.

thats the reason why i always go for cheap loose toyz.....'coz i tend to customize it from time to time.....its either i sell it high or low....depends if the finish product is painted nicely.....but sad to say i havent SOLD anything yet...my skills arent in that level yet.....hahahaha

Apparently, poeple didnt like my dynacougar creation. dynaman bashed with dancougar well its part of it....you cannot please everybody...each has their own taste and opinions...as long as your happy with what your doin....treat it as a constructive comment.....from there you can improve your skills the next time you customize..... back to topic... i just couldnt stand customizing a $100 bucks toy......id rather buy a loose one......i know im a sucker for cheap toys..... |
