Hmmm looks like it will use magnets for the joints like Gakeen.

It's part of the Brave Gokin line so it will have some amount of metal in it. Chen, Thanks for the help. For some odd reason, I can not post a reply on the thread I started regarding this toy.

Hmmm looks like it will use magnets for the joints like Gakeen. I'll look forward to horrible Baratack-Gakeen-Jeeg hybrids.

I got to watch Baratak when I was a kid. It was shown during late afternoons, probably at 4pm here in the Philippines at Channel 9. It was just somehow a filler show, never really dugged its design. It looked so frail comparing it to the likes of the leading SRs at the time like Voltes V. However, looking at it now, it looks so funky, corny but leaves you feeling good.

Oh wow... Um... this I feel will probably end up being a deal breaker for a lot of people, which is a damn shame... This Baratack prototype is standing next to a prototype gokin Aestivalis artillery frame... which means that the Baratack will be (if it remains this size) only around 5 inches tall.

The size won't be a deal breaker, but the price might be if they stamp their infamous CMs price tag.

The small size should at the very least mean that the magnetic joints wont have much difficulty supporting the figure's weight.
With this small size and considering the accessories shown, I'm going to put in a guessed price of 8000 yen. We'll see, I suppose.

If it does come with all those accessories, land/air/sea mode attachments plus the control ship (which looks like is able to break apart into the 5 individual ships), I'm betting it's gonna be upwards of Y10,000.

Does Baratak have elbows? It's hard to tell from just looking at the photo.

Yeah, he has elbows. You can see it there, just very dark in the pic. You guys forgot the accessories galore of Baratak (with entire body changes). Unless CM's is selling them as separate box sets, everything included can easily top 20000-30000yen.

I was kinda actually thinking that - coz it's probably gonna have more accessories than Gakeen and that one was above Y20,000 I think (until it got discounted and I got it for about $150).

I hope this is more like the Gakeen quality instead of the Mekanda one (non-diecast). I am so disappointed in that release. I'm pretty sure this will be in the Gakeen vein. Mechander DX wasn't in the Brave Gokin line. That thing falls apart if you look at it too hard. But at least the box looks like the classic Bullmark box at a fraction of the cost lol. This thing has FUN written all over it if done right.

Man, I really don't remember much of the accessories. Loved this ugly robot. It has the face only a true gokin lover could appreciate.

Yeah you're right lol. I have always loved his design, very retro like that Yonezewa trio or Ramble-Robot. Will really compliment Gakeen on the shelf.

Wow, glad I resisted the temptation to obtain Gordian, due to limited budget I can only afford a few chogokins a year. Hope CMS has strengthen magnetic joins... some folks are saying Ga-keen joints are too weak to maintain certain poses. Are the parts compatible with Ga-keen, just like Sankan-Oh and Gyakuten-Oh are supposed to be interchangeable?
