No word yet, not even CM's site has any updates. Weird.... Gold CMs is like that they don't say a thing til the toy is out, I mean when was the last time we got any info on Super Fire Dagwon? Not really, when the figure is next in line to be released, they usually do update/create a page dedicated to the figure about roughly 2-3 months before the toy is released (as far as Brave Gokins are concerned anyways). Otherwise future projects stay "pageless" (like Dagwon, Gaiking the Great). Gold |

I kind of like his hokey really old school look.
Something else to consider is that Baratak being in their Brave line and the engineering is simple enough that I don't think CM's will mess it up. It looks to be all fairly straight forward, which in CM's history of Brave gokin could likely mean a decent bot.

Wow, glad I resisted the temptation to obtain Gordian, due to limited budget I can only afford a few chogokins a year. Hope CMS has strengthen magnetic joins... some folks are saying Ga-keen joints are too weak to maintain certain poses. Are the parts compatible with Ga-keen, just like Sankan-Oh and Gyakuten-Oh are supposed to be interchangeable? I've had no problems with the Gakeen joints,they're pretty solid and the mags are fairly strong. He holds poses very well not like Jeeg which is a pose and pray situation. You're not gonna get super dynamic poses but he seems to be very stable in some good drama poses. |

I've seen way uglier SOC releases that Balatak! I would love to get this but it's not an SOC so I don't think that I will. I am an SOC purist!

I was kinda actually thinking that - coz it's probably gonna have more accessories than Gakeen and that one was above Y20,000 I think (until it got discounted and I got it for about $150). Where did you buy it for $150? I'd like to know! |

I'm not a Baratak fan simply because of this robot's appearance. But if I had the money, I'd certainly buy this Baratak toy set... all them vehicles and ships, them armor ornaments, fangs, and wings, them colors... they all scream at me like a giant self-contained toy store. ;D zozo-Magengar Accessory Hell and Heaven |

I'm not a big fan either but I like it enough to probably get it - but not at full price. I only saw a few episodes when I was growing up but I kinda like it for the nostalgia.
Anybody heard anything about its release?

Congrats, too expensive for me for a robot I'm not to fond of but if they sell just Barattack with a couple accessories I'd buy one.

I watched Baratak when I was a kid and would love to have a toy of him. But for that price, is not very friendly.

Personally I think the smarter move would have been to break up the release, sell a cheaper Barattack with a few accessories and then sell an optional accessories pack for those that want it. They would have probably sold more standalone units of the figure instead of limiting potential customers with a high price and having accessories that will most likely be kept in the box.

How much is it? I am tempted though I never ever buy non-SOC's. This is the only robot that I want from my childhood. Believe-it-or not, I don't remember watching Mekanda when I was a kid in the Philippines--I don't think I am even spelling it right.
