I don't know it looks like they used the old bandai model kit in that ad.

After looking again and googling around a little I'm really not sure what they used now. ;D There's parts on it that look like the AP, the model kit and some that look totally scratchbuilt. It's even hard to tell what they used as a frame.
Oh well. The Armor Plus looks like the best rendition of Tekkaman Blade w/out Pegasus.

Yeah, it's definitely in it: A little CG and some details painted in, but it's the one! ;D Edit: Actually, I'm still not really sure. I believe that is the old bandai model kit in the commercial.

It' s not the model kit. The head, chest and elbows are different. Also the lines where the shoulders open up on the kit are not there.

I grabbed one two days ago when they put a single box back in stock. It keeps going back and forth between Sold Out, Temporary Out of Stock and a few units left. Probably canceled or unpaid orders put back on sale.
Bandai would be stupid not to make more of these, with how fast the first run sold out, but jump on it right now if you want one anyway.

I wouldn't worry too much about missing out. Bandai isn't really known for not making enough of any of its products. I'm sure they'll do more than one run if they have to and then probably release a limited edition of some type once they sell all the initial figures. Of course this is all just a guess.

True, but Amiami's price can't be beaten and they have 1/2 Off EMS shipping for February.

The proportion of the model kit looks better. But I like the ArmorPlus has diecast and being bigger.

I finally had a chance to mess around with mine. I can say one thing, the hands are a real B I T C H to put on, they need to fix this and finnd a new way to secure the forearm armor, cuz it makes it even harder to change out hands. Second problem, the figure is too heavy for its on good. sure he holds his own weight but plenty of poses he cant do due to his weight. In fact i think hes the heavesit non chogokin figure ever! And youd think bandai would give you a stand for it hmmm....... nope and there isnt one that i can think of that will handle it properly. I honestly would of preffered a lot less diecast, actually he doesnt need any at all, you would get a lot more use out of this figure if you omitted the diecast. Lastly, and most dissapointingly, my tekkaman had a very loose right shoulder armor, I couldnt get it to fit on properly for ntohing (I pulled the arm out of the socket a number of times while attempting to do so) it really pissed me off actually........ I dont know how i feel about the figure, its very cool looking but he just stands there..... anyway heres my attempt to inject some life into it. I hope that tekkaman evil fairs better.......

Damn that sucks about the loose shoulder armor. Are you sure the two pegs are clamping into the sockets on the shoulder? Thankfully I haven't had any problems with looseness and I can give him some awesome poses, but yes getting on those hands..........is a real test of my patience. I'm considering just super gluing the forearm armor on (glue all armor on ) to make this process a little less nerve racking. In terms of possibility I thought he was a little unbalanced at first, but once you get the ankles and feet in the right positions he can pull off some pretty sexy poses.

I kind of know what you are saying with the poses. The poses you can get out of him are fairly expressive, but nothing too extreme. For the most part he has to be standing on both feet in an "A" frame stance. I was able to get him to do some stances where he balanced with one foot more forward, but they weren't really stable, certainly not the way you want to leave him on the shelf. I'm sorry to hear about the shoulder armor. That's one I didn't have any problems with. And then there's the hands. Oy! I picked my favorites, finally got them on, and I have no plans to change them.

Exactly Xiombarg, you can get some expressive posses but he want stay that way with out support. It would of been nice if he came with a stand since tekkaman actally does a lot of high flying moves and space combat! Moleman, i would love to see pics of the poses you can get him in though..... but I dont plan on moving mine again. Gluing on the armor is a good idea too, There really is no point in him having removeable armor if you ask me, and its far more of a gimmick then a nice addition for TM!
As for the pegs, thats the problem I cant get them to fit on correctly. I dont recall having this problem when I first set up the figure and all he did was lay on my kitchen table for a week or two so no idea how it got the way it did. Trying to re postion the shoulder was a super pain, the arm kept coming off at the socket, it annoyed me to know end and i feared i would break or really loosen the joint........ so i gave up.
Also, bandai we need pegged interchangeable fists please!!!!! or make the ball joint a lot bigger
