Hey xiombarg the manual doesn't mentions this but does tekkaman have a waist joint? I turned it at the waist and it swivels a little, but I'm not sure thats an actual joint.

Yeah, you're right, it's not a joint, just a swiveling axis point. Still better than nothing though.

Got mine today. Initial thoughts: Heavy as hell with armor, solid, still very movable with good articulation. Tight joints that can hold the weight of the metal. Almost all the armor is painted and gives Tekkaman a super sharp look. However, the wrist ball joints scare me as they are quite small and its DAMN hard to swamp out the fist. I found a trick to it but its still a pain in the ass! Anyways, besides that I'M IN LOVE WITH this figure. Bandai Im buying more! Anyways, PICS are coming! Yeah the hands are a pain to swap on all armor plus and shfiguarts figures (more so on the armor plus though) at least all the ones i have anyway lol

The trick? well its kind of hard to explain, but you have to angle the ball joint where it doesn't want to move anymore and gently wiggle the hand at an angle that's opposite of the ball joints direction and it works well..........sorta......well its much more successful than trying to simply attach the hand. However, this figure holds a special place in my heart as Tekkaman or Teknoman in the USA was probably one of the first anime I've ever seen. So a highly detailed metal filled tekkaman figure is godly in my mind and pants.

Amen to that. I used to watch it as a child and at the time I wasnt even aware of Japanese Cartoons. They never played the entire series though it got to one part and they just looped and looped it. Now I have it all on DVD Maybe they will make a Detonator Orgun figure

I got mine a few days ago and love it Honestly though, I could have done without the removable armor and just made the figure come as is with armor on and thats it. I dont see myself ever taking it off or anything. When can I preorder my Evil?!

yeah the fact that there is no d boy makes the removable armor pretty pointless. Id prefer a solid figure actually.

Well, unlike the Guyver, Tekkaman was not really a human inside in armor to begin with. It was a fusion or organic and mechanical parts. There was no human face under a helmet or eyes behind a visor. When they showed scenes like that in the anime it was just to "humanize" the Tekkaman suit.
But I digress... yes, I agree that a solid figure would have been better.

I've never liked any removable armor figures. The cloth Saint Seiya Wyvern looked nice, but if you move his legs at all the armor would slide out of place. There was also that MSIA Gundam line that had removable armor, and they pretty much sucked.
I wonder if removable armor is cheaper to produce?
As far as the Tekkaman Blade goes, at least the armor stays in place and doesn't really pop off. Still, I agree that once the armor is attached there is no reason to ever take it off.

So they are making an evil tekkaman in this series....what sucks is that I had already bought the SPEC Tekkaman & Pegas package....wish they'd make an evil T. in that scale.
Anywhoo, I'm still quite satisfied with the SPEC... after watching the anime I feel that buying Tekkaman without Pegas would be like buying Grendizer without his UFO Spazer.

If Bandai goes by their usual game plan they will release a box set with both Blade and Evil that will have some minor change and some extra weapons or whatnot. My guess would be metallic paint and a new Blade weapon that comes apart into the boomerang weapon.
It's frustrating to think about, but this is what Bandai always does with anything that sells well.

Tekkaman without Pegas is only half the fun. Yes Bandai, please make a Spec Tekkaman Evil with its whatever-you-call-it Monster Glider... ;D As far as a Pegas in scale with the Armor Plus Tekkaman... yikes! That's would really hurt the wallet... even if it was all plastic! }D

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sol Tekkaman turns up after Evil.

I really enjoy the design of Sol Tekkaman, but man once he ran out of ammo he became a useless brick.

Yeah, it's definitely in it: A little CG and some details painted in, but it's the one! ;D
Edit: Actually, I'm still not really sure.
