Cool! Are these guys the same size, diecast content/gimmiks as the originals?

They are identical in all ways, except the size. They run about 4 inches tall.

Damn, I miss this line. Here's to hoping they start it up again.

OOOoo! You got the GT-OO, 1st version Mazinger with shoulder fire pins! That's the hardest darn thing to find. Nice little wooden crate use there for display.
Speaking of...did ANYONE get the promotional wooden display case that Bandai had in the pamphlet in the boxes? Or seen them for sale at a retailer?

Saw that cabinet available a couple of times but never picked it up. After sticking these guys into the wine-boxes like this, it gave me the idea to build a little cabinet for them. Planning to face it with Plexiglas to stop dust. I'm thinking black lacquer finish.
It really is too bad they stopped this line. Such excellent reproductions, and I am a sucker for mini figures whether they be diecast or vinyl.

sketch, when you say reproduction, do you mean reissue?

No, these are miniature versions of the original toys. Different scale, but exact replicas never released in this size before. If you've never held one, they're about 2/3 scale to the GA series. They have all the features of their larger counterparts. Here is a comparison with GA-05 :

GT-10 or Voltes V is the most sought after and most expensive among them all. It's almost a half price of SOC his SOC brother (bout $70 ). Fortunately I got this baby at $30, his big brother Combattra gain less attentions in my country due to his unpopularity, It cost about $10 or less if you're lucky ( I myself bought it bout $6). Aside of their tiny size, these chogokin are excellent toy, they shoot their fist just like their chogokin brothers and looks identical with his old brother (except once again, size hehehe) Overall these chogokin baby still a joy to hold, yeah I wish Bandai continue their steps to make the rest of chogokin's replicas just like this..

Looks like I'd better preserve my Gungans***
I have a couple of Grendizer knockoff chogokins, their name is Gungan. one is about the same height as a regular chogokin, the other is smaller; both fire their fists. The larger one suffered a broken shoulder-joint when I posed it; so I took it apart and tried to make a custom Great Mazinger chogokin with it but I never finished it. I still have the parts stashed in a box, and his head is strung with beads as my personal "necklace" (makes a great keychain ornament, too).
Meanwhile, Little Gungan is enjoying life displayed from inside a large M&Ms acrylic easter egg. ;D

Tony, I'd LOVE to see a pic of that gokin-in-egg setup, or do you already have it posted?
Co-ink-ee-dink-ly, I just finally got that GT-00 in a sale with member Jaylay! Woo! It's so close in detail to the GA-01 repro, but they corrected the legs on the GT so it stands perfectly flat on it's feet! Now where's all the "charm" gone? hahaa.

I'm not at home right now, but when I get home this evening I'll snap a pic of it (Gungan Jr. inside the easter egg) and post it here early this weekend. The easter egg is half-transparent (clear hard plastic) and its bottom half (horizontally) is a solid pink colored plastic... ...I'm tempted to turn it into a "canopy" for a large custom model of either the Pilder or the Brain Condor.

Heeeeeeere's GUNGAN! ;D (Please pardon the picture quality) ...inside the plastic M&Ms easter egg......the front clear-plastic eggshell open so's we can see Gungan much better......(non-gokin related) and I also have two more plastic easter eggs, and each of those has a Mazinger-Z gashapon. ...fighting stance drill-missile attack MZ gashapon......iron-cutter MZ gashapon...These M&Ms plastic easter eggs are awesome for displaying small figures such as gokins and gashapons. BTW, the Buzz Lightyear mini-figure you see there was found in an alleyway... it has a motorized propellor stickin out of his azz so he can hang from the ceiling to simulate "flight". I grabbed him so's I can use his clear plastic helmet canopies for making custom Pilders someday. ;D Happy Gokins! zozo-Magengar

They display nicely next to the classic small scale Shogun Warriors from the 70's. Bandai did a real nice job loading these little ba$tards with detail and kept them as true to their larger counterparts as possible.
