Whoohoo!! I just got a call from my wife that my set has just been delivered!
Apparently Robot Kingdom acknowledged my request to change the shipment address, although they never informed me that they made the address change.

Thanks for the comments suppergetterv. I never use the insructions so it would not suprise me to find several little things that I miss. However, I did know about the different ways to position Blastoff/Explorer (if you notice the first set are one way the second are the other). I haven't made up my mind which I prefer. The correct way, has the wings are pointing up and it kind of bugs me. However, the other way will sometimes leave the feet in the way. Still playing around with it.
As for Brawl/the tanks, I flat out missed that. I have made the switch to put the turret back down. I transformed 2 of these guys from tank to bot. Seems like I would have remembered having to spin that thing around on atleast one of them out of the box. Oh well, got it now -thanks.

Normally I toss the instructions aside, especially the ones by Hasbro but this instruction booklet was so well made and has so many good pictures that I just have to look through it a couple of times and that"s when I notices these things, cause I had mines exactly the way you had it in you pictures. But I like the picture on the back of the manual so that why I decided to change it up.

Awesomeness comes in two small boxes labeled "Explorer" and "Munitioner".
Soooo.... After the long wait and anticipation, I finally held the Crossfire 2 set in my hands last night, and I’ve got to say that it was well worth all the wait. To top all that, Robot Kingdom undervalued my package so it sailed through customs undetected. Kudos for them, and if Fans Project issues anymore similar upgrades, I’ll be sure to get it through Robot Kingdom. Great services on their part.
Well, I started by taking Blast-off out of the box, and I can’t help but notice the quality of assembly. Contrary to what some of the members reported, the plastic quality is not an issue. The plastic for this Blast-off may be thinner in some parts than the one in Swindle, but the quality is certainly no less than the plastic quality for high grade collectibles like SOCs, and it certainly is better than the plastic quality on my CMS Brave Gokin GGG Ver. 0.2. I started transforming Blast-off into its bot mode and attaching the accessories to the vehicle form of Onslaught, but then got impatient and start combining them together.
The combined result was pure awesomeness, and I can remember similar excitement I had when I got my GX-46 several weeks ago. The connection points are tight – I honestly thought that the arm connections would be wobbly, but it’s actually very solid. I had some trouble replacing the original Bruticus head, but it finally connect with a nice click. I think the new head even connect better than the old head. The legs also connect nicely, and the feet have racheted joints that will allow them to stay flat in almost any position. The crotchpiece connected with a click as well. You just need to push a little firmly for this.
I agree with GDomino that the pegs for the backpack cannons can be longer, but I’ve worked out a solution to keep it solidly connected, so it’s not a big issue. The way I did it was to keep the doors on Onslaught closed instead open, so they press against the arm formation and keeps the back slots propped level against the backpack’s pegs. It’s hard to store the unused shotguns without plugging them into the backpack cannons before it’s placed on Bruticus’ back, because the expanded backpack will just retract when you try to push the shotgun in.
The limp right wrist is also true, sadly. But as long as the right hand is not holding the rifle or the shotgun, it should be OK. I have mine holding the assault knife on the right hand. Note that I bought this solely for the combined mode; my conclusion is that provided you are able to secure a ROTF Bruticus, you must get this “expansion set”. It just improves the final combined figures in so many ways possible, and will make you think “This is what a combined transformer should be”.
Pros: Totally awesome combined mode, it significantly increases the size and mass of the original robot Great possibility, solid combination, rachet joints all around Great amount of accessories that can be used in combined or individual robot and vehicles modes
Cons (very minor) Limp right wrist Different finish and styling on the FP bots, noticeable up close (FP bots have painted matt finish, while the original team have glossy plastic finish) On the “expanded” artillery truck mode of onslaught, the rear section made from the new feet section is not level with the front of the truck, and the wheels will not roll properly.

Yeah, I can't express enough how much FUN I'm having with Bruticus. Y'know how some bots are just so COOL you can't not have them - well, this guy is F - U - N! There are a couple "I wish"es, but NOTHING major at all - who cares at this point?!? ^_______^

You know, I was thinking that it would be pretty easy for the next upgrade set to be for the club exclusive Nexus Prime. They could actually reuse some of the same parts from the two previous sets and mold them in clear red or blue.

Never knew that an independent toy company can produce such a high quality product.

I finally made the order for the Bruticus parts. I went with TF source since their priority shipping was about as much as BBTS's standard shipping.

Thanks. Made my preorder. Glad to see the regular Protector will be comming out the same time as the Shdow Syther. I missed out on the SS preorder but it was proabably for the best as I didn't have the Shattered Glass Hot Rod and would not pay the price needed to pick it up.

TFX-04 is the "Protector" trailer upgrade that turns classics Rodimus into Rodimus Prime. Also make sure you guys check out TFX-05 Sidearm which is Rodimus's target master sidekick. He can transform and convert into a cross bow weapon for classic Rodimus and add on weapon in car mode. Also can be plugged into the Protector trailer. 10$ isn't that much to pay for this new Target master. The Protector set is priced 10$ cheaper than the limited Shadow Scyther, at 83$. I ordered Shadow Scyther mainly for the chain blade sword and the extra face. Black and red color scheme actually isn't bad looking. Sure there is a bit of orange, but black and orange, like holloween gives it some more menacing look. I am just trying to justify using my 3 pack version for the S.S. trailer, my regular classics Rodimus will sport the regular Protector set.

The lower portion of the right arm should be rotated the other way, so that Blast-off's wings are facing forward. Made the same error myself.

Cool it's Bruticus Magnus. I like the head swap Idea. Some people like Explorers wings to point outwards, seems more natural. But I don't like having the legs showing up in the front, so I keep mines they way that the company intended it to look. I've seen people positioning their Superion with the shoulder planes facing downwards so that it doesn't have that pointy shoulder look. I tried it myself and didn't like the fact that you lose some are articulation doing it that way and Superion looks shorter when the arm jets aren't pointing up. It does hide those arms and hands though. To be honest, I am kinda bothered by Vortex and Brawls arms as they are their in plane (pun intended) view. I can hide Brawls by plugging in the shot guns or those colorful weapons it comes with. But can't hide Vortex's arms.
