So about Hercules high, from ground to top of head = 32 cm / 12.6 inches... With rage set, summit is 37 cm / 14.6 inches.

So about the same size, hmmmm I would probably buy a Hercules with Rage set if the green was the same as the Maketoys version. But I could overlook that I just can't afford the price of it and if I bought one I would want Uranos and the Mastermind Predaking and I just don't have the $$$$ :-(

Wow. that Shockwave looks really good and the feet do seem to be metal.
Has Fanstoys released any other stuff or is this their first? Lol.. so many 3rd parties now, it's hard to keep track who's done what.

I want to get him so bad, but as yet, there are no online retailer in my vicinity that offers him for sale, not even robot kingdom Between quakewave; MMC's hexatron and feral rex; and FP's not-menasor, this year's going to be a very expensive - and that's not mentioning the official Takara-Tomy masterpieces!

Fan Toy are preparing a second run... I planning to get this one too. The more I see it, the more it deserves to be official in MP Line. Not sure Takarasbro will produce this character : 1. Gun toy are not easy to sell 2. Fan Toy already made the homerun with this release before Takarasbro (dispite the MP Soundwave they allready prototyped)

a question to those who are going to collect future third party gestalts after devastator. would you just wait until they offer a whole set now . since that happened to both third party devastator figures or would you still get them individually.

My budget is limited. A staggered release of the individual robots really helps me. Just make sure you buy from established manufacturer to reduce the risk of buying incomplete products.
BTW, more shockwave video review. I'm practically drooling right now!

I think there will be a second production wave coming around March, and some online store like Captured Prey has already opened a pre-order for that. Better reserve yours now.

a question to those who are going to collect future third party gestalts after devastator. would you just wait until they offer a whole set now . since that happened to both third party devastator figures or would you still get them individually. I say it all depends on which 3rd party company. Stuff from Fansproject, I say buy immediately. After market prices for their items are insane. And most of the time, when they do make reissues, they usually cost more than the originals. City Commander was only $70 shipped back then. New reissue version are more than Double now. Stuff from TFC, I say wait. Their Devastator is now being sold at a discount and you are more likely to be able to buy them cheaper on the secondary market. Base on the limited history on TFC, they will sell it cheaper, fix all of them problem on the second run, so why buy them One at a time and over pay? Bottom line is a lot of these big Gestalts are just way over priced at almost $100 each. I saw the video review from Optibotimus on the FansToy Shockwave. It is pretty nice, with diecast parts and light up eyes. I am interested but got to pass on it. I don't have MP Soundwave yet and would much rather have that one before this one.

Well, here's the thing - the third-party market was very different at the time of City Commander. Fansproject made one run of that and stopped. Also, the Ultra Magnus Classics figure was rather hard to find - it came in a two-pack with Skyfire in the west, or else you had to find a Japanese release. So all together, getting a Fansproject City Commander version Ultra Magnus was pretty tough...
Fast-forward a few years... third-party stuff is more widespread now. Fansproject is known to re-release stuff and I suspect overall production runs are bigger now if places like BBTS and even a specialty outlet like Fansprojectcore are taking pre-orders. The warbot line had rereleases as well within a few months. I don't see Fansproject stuff exploding in secondary-market value the way they used to.
You're right about TFC though - It's been less than a year and they're already rereleasing a Shattered Glass repaint of Hercules...

yes, fast forward to now and you still have pretty much the same thing happening with some of the Fansproject release though. Before Warbot 2 Steel Core's second Production run, the thing was selling 3 to 4X. It is still selling for more than double the original price. And I am seeing the same thing with the most recent release Chromedome. It is selling for over 170$ from what I've been told. And the second production run is all preordered out too. The only set of stuff that didn't do well for FP was the Insecticons and the First Two Causality repaint figures. And that's probably due to the bootlegs.

Just got mine too, unfortunately two of the fingers were broken and I don't have the right batteries but it's a great piece.
