It's really interesting to me how all of these small 3rd parties are literally coming from nowhere. It seems like every day, there's another new toymaker coming making their own version of a Transformers character.

Please forgive my ignorance regarding 3P Jetfire....Is Kronos the only 3P Jetfire coming on the market? Kronos looks way better than the Jetfire that was bundled with the Asia Grimlock release.

Ancestral Not sure if it is the only 3rd party JetFire but Kronos by decatoys is not the only upcoming product for the JetFire character. The JetFire Asia Release you are referring to is a reissue of the old Classic, Henkei Takara voyager class figure with probably some paint variation. Also, Hasbro will be releasing a JetFire figure in leader class size later this year. If I remember correctly, someone mentioned it will have some die cast parts. Here is the upcoming Hasbro Leader Class official JetFire. Source from Seibertron.com

Ancestral The upcoming figures I'm aware of: 1. Kronos by DaCa Toys (modeled after the G1 cartoon Skyfire) 2. Titan by DaCa Toys (modeled after the IDW Comics Jetfire) 3. Sky Guardian by Mecha Form (modeled after the G1 cartoon Skyfire) 4. Jetfire by Hasbro (new interpretation utilizing design cues from the cartoon, comics, and original toy / VF-1S release)

Thanks for the quick responses. Which Jetfire does everyone think will be the best one?
The Hasbro Jetfire looks pretty sweet!
Will the Hasbro Jetfire be in scale with the Masterpiece line? Or will the Kronos DaCa one be a better match for the Masterpiece line?

Or will the Kronos DaCa one be a better match for the Masterpiece line? Ancestral You gonna let me decide for you? J/K. The Hasbro one for me cause most leader class toys are price between the $50-60 range. Much more affordable. Know this, leader class toys aren't MP though. They lack the quality and engineering of Masterpieces so for that reason it probably doesn't fit too well with the MP collection. I don't care for that so it don't matter to me. Out off all that was show at the toy fair, the Leader Class Jetfire is the most interesting official release so I look forward to getting one. The Kronos one is over $160 before shipping. BBTS list him as 12" tall and 8" wide. For some, it fits in well with the MP collection because it is designed to fit in with the MP line. Supposedly the scale is accurate because Jetfire is supposed to be this much bigger than everyone and also, it is design to look like the cartoon. I am not that big of a Jetfire fan so no way am I getting it. My money is tied up on the MMC Feral Rex (Predaking). Hoping to get that confirmation from BBTS on Leo Dux (RazorClaw) because they will shop my pile of loot at the end of the month. I've held off claiming my loot for over six months and they aren't holding it for me no more. Was hoping to get the entire MMC set all at once.

Or will the Kronos DaCa one be a better match for the Masterpiece line? Ancestral I pulled the trigger on Kronos, but I'm a G1 cartoon guy that always wanted a faithful representation of the cartoon Skyfire. I also appreciate what I've garnered through message boards/posts from various sites of how responsive/receptive DaCa was to fan requests concerning adjustments to the Kronos figure during development. Another company would be hard pressed to produce a figure that more closely resembles the original cartoon character. I also think DaCa added just enough additional detail/artistic interpretation to fit in with the Masterpiece TF line and his height in comparison is true to the cartoon as well. Separately, I really like the upcoming Hasbro Jetfire and will definitely buy one for my son...it just doesn't fit in my collection.

Wow...lots of Skyfire iterations being released.
nolesoldier..I'm aligned with you terms of wanting to have a more G1 cartoon representative toy.
Also, sizing to be in line with the MP series is important for me.
It looks like the FT version of Jetfire also will be in line size wise with the MP series correct?

I cancelled my X-transbots upgrade kit for FOC Bruticus Platinum edition in favor of Microblaze Creations' MBC002 Military Titans upgrade kit. Early pre-orders of this kit will include free bonus parts to allow the set to go with the SDCC/Platinum versions. It might be more expensive than the X-Transbots one, but it sure looks like a better upgrade kit.
If interested, you better hurry because this offer will expire on March 25.

If the reviews say that the materials are decent and if it's an overall solid figure, then I'd buy it in an instant. And Takatomy's version as well!!
