Interesting stuff.
Over all, I'm a bit surprised by how small these guys were. You'd never guess from the pictures. The quality seems to be of a higher caliber than most of Armada though, so it's an even trade-off.
Battle Ravage:
No real surprise from how he looks in the pictures. I'd say my major complaints are that his jaw isn't hinged in cat mode (stays closed), and that he seems like his fore and hind legs should be further apart. His evergon weapons are kind of cool.
Skyblast:
GREAT jet mode, GREAT transformation, SILLY looking robot mode. He's just too small and feels a bit too cheap, kind of like a transformer you might get in a happy meal. You just know there's a bigger, higher quality version of this toy out there somewhere. Or, at least, there should be.
Energon Star Saber:
I REALLY like how they retooled these molds. These jets look bad-ass now, and the colors work too.
I also got a look at Strongarm, Inferno, and Hot Shot. Strongarm looked completely ridiculous in both modes, Inferno looked just a little too silly for my taste (and he looks like he transforms exactly like the fire truck from the Power Rangers Rescue Megazord), and Hot Shot had a nice looking vehicle mode, but was on a different scale than everything else. He might look nice alongside the Universe repaints of the RID Autobots, though. Those are some VERY nice repaints, as well.

I went to Wal-Mart last night to check out some New Transformers Toys and found Energon Optimus Prime. I felt kind a disappointed the way he looks. It reminds me of POWER RANGERS. And I also found Ironhide and Inferno but the quality looks cheap. I don't know why. Is it just me? So I just ended up getting the Energon Minicon only. I will wait for the SuperLinks by TAKARA. Maybe It might look better.

Many of the larger Energon toys seem more simplistic, thus making them appear a bit cheap. I think Hasbro's trying harder to target younger audiences with these, while also having the reissues and binaltechs for the more mature collectors. I think Energon has a few great toys to offer, but most of them are Decepticons.
