Well I got tired of waiting for BANDAI to release a regular color GX-47(the existing GX-47 is cool, but I just needed to get one in regular colors)so, decision was quickly made, get an extra GX-45 and GX-47 and then customize GX-47's head and chestplates and install them in GX-45's body, the results are these:

















the eyes were corrected already and look very sharp and not sloppy looke pics below ;D.




I Used testors acrylic paint and my new Aztek 7778 airbrush.

that looks like an real official figure, so the back plataform for the GX 47 can be attach to the GX 45 back?

Coolness! Even if it were just for one or two episodes,
we finally got to see Mazinger-Z's original prototype character
(Energer-Z) in action since its early manga days!

What type of paint did you use on the body? It looks like an official release.

No paint on the body. That body belongs to the GX-45 Shin Mazinger. He swapped the head and Chest Plates from a red GX-47 Energer to a GX-45 Shin Mazinger figure. I did the same thing, but I also wanted to make a smaller pilot/bike for it. The one that comes with it is way too big!

Great job...but ,man, does anyone else wonder where the nose went

I got into a bar brawl with him last night.
He started talkin sh*t to me, and I busted
him in the nose. ;D

...nah, just kidding Ed.

Actually, if you look at some of the mazingers
in all the mangas (classic and new),
they didn't have noses.

The ONLY mazingers which had Noses were
the classic tv/oav versions of Mazinger-Z, and
Great Mazinger.
And then again, in the Mazinkaiser series,
only Great Maz had a nose.
The Mazinger-Z in that series did not.
Neither did Mazinkaiser. My guess is this
was a slight borrowing from the Grendizer
facial/nose look.

Shin Mazinger had a nose in his series,
while Energer had no nose, as you see here.
