Well just finished this monster and all i can say is WOW!!!Building this kit has been 2 hours of fun and excitement!Easy to put together but once finished it's a piece with great poseability, very sturdy(the hands can actually withstand the weight of the rifle and shield without falling down)and with an overall impressive shelf presence. It has a lot of detail and once i add some panel lining and apply the water decals i'll post some photos and try to make a descent review(it will be my first so i'll take my time).
My general opinion on this one?If you haven't bought it yet do it now! With that price tag this classic is a must have for any Gunpla fan out there!

At about 8,400yen... how much is that in US dollars? Man, I wish Bandai would make super-robot model kits, like the Mazingers, in THAT size; I'd grab it. I dig Gundam robots, although I never watched their anime series; but I sure would love to have this even if just to have any Japanese robot model kit in That large size. The pic of the assembled head alone is worth an avatar. ;D Thanks for the link zozo-magengar

But the shipping is the killer from what I've seen.

Yeah it is but Amiami had half off shipping sooooo it may be cheaper or close to the same when it reaches domestic shores

I've got this kit coming in tomorrow and I'm really excited to spend the time building it. I haven't built a Gundam in about ten years (god it feels strange typing that!) so this should prove to be a real feast for me. Not sure yet if I'll detail it at all. I'm a menace with any kind of paints or markers, so the most I would do is panel-line with a mechanical pencil. I'm thinking of putting weights in the feet as well, but I don't know if that will be neccessary.
