Bandai is going to release a 1/48 rx-78-2 model kit around March 2010.These are great news since,as far as i'm concerned, the bigger the better!(considering ofcourse the reasonable price tag)Does anybody know if bandai has plans for other Gundam kits in this scale? www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=21622

Depending on the sales of this will detrmine if their will be more. Bandai is trying to compete with the resin kits out there since that's the only way you could get gundams of that magnitude well except for jumbo grade and thar statues but those weren't model kits to begin with

what grade is a perfect grade compared to a 1/48? Scale/size wise, PGs are traditionally 1/60 scale which is about 12 inches tall I believe. Very excited for this release as well. Looks like its based off of the Odaiba Gundam design.

I'm not familiar with the Gundam kit line, but i like the Zeta Gundam mechas as much as the RX-78 mech itself... ...I found this in my emailbox today... www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php?products_id=8249Perhaps you already know about These kit versions, or they may be new (judging by their future release date). I also saw ads for the Gundam Astray red-frame mech model-kit to be released around that later time as well. www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php?products_id=9156If you haven't yet heard about these, now's your chance. Mark these down, and compare deals with other hobby dealers like HLJ and BBTS and others; for pre-order, pricing, availability, and shipping info; to see what works best for your budgets. zozo-magengar

WOW that custom parts for the Astray are sweeeeeet.I really wanted PG Astray to come with this in the first place so i wouldn't have to buy the MG version just for the sword.A sure purchase for me ;D

Sometimes size does matter! I've never built a Perfect Grade and honestly, I don't feel it's worth my money. Plus I've had my share of Gunpla with the Master Grade stuff as it is. But what I meant by size mattering is that the most fun I had with a kit was a Jumbo scaled 1/60 Strike Gundam (Seed). Despite being a very simple build, it was just fun and satisfying to get such a huge figure out of it - especially when the norm for me is the 1/100 scale MG kits. And it didn't cost a penny more than the usual MG kit either.

I have to agree with Ben... if I could find any large Gundam model kits, that would rock my world for starters. I like the Gundam Seed varieties. I'll wait and see, if I wanna have a few Gundam models then I'd like to start with the big mechs (large-scale sizes). This stuff's gettin good! ;D I searched (Strike Gundam) and found this... www.mahq.net/models/gundam/gundam.htm...perhaps they've got many Gundams I'd like to build. BTW, I apologize for deviating from the main topic. zozo-Magengar

Well i have a few of PGs and IMO they're worth the money.Especially the PG 00 Raiser(which i'm building now) is one beutifull piece i assure you In fact i think it's becoming(aside from a couple of resin kits) my favorite Gundam in my collection

Still not bad, I doubt it'll be as advance as a PG but at 1/48 it'll be huge. Might just have to get one, it's been years since I boughta Gundam model.

Well i don't think it 'll be as much detailed as a PG considering it's price.I mean PG's cost around 150-200$ so compared to that this thing sould cost about 300$ or so...still it looks pretty awesome
