I can't help noticing the arms of the Legioss are still too extended in fighter mode on your pics. It might be due to either the torso portion not being collapsed all the way or the legs not being completely pushed in i have the same problem on my red one i can not get the legs or torso to collaspe or push in any further resulting in the arms being slightly extend just like Chen's

Yeah I noticed that too, there looks like there are little tabs for it to slide all the way up but I tried pushing and started to hear some bad noises so I stopped. I looked on the back of the Alpha's box to see a picture in fighter mode and it has that gap in the picture as well. I don't know if Aoshima designed it that way to put less stress on the arm assembly or if they had the same problem and just couldn't get the arms to slide all the way up. When I get home I'll see what I can do but I'm not gonna force it cuz this things delicate enough.

You're right, even the picture on the box is all wrong, what a shame! There should be no gap on the arms (Aoshima or MPC). I won't go as far as tell you to force it but I did take that risk on mine, maybe my recent few successes with epoxy gave me enough confidence so that even if it broke I could have fixed it Like I said, the torso portion does extend/recess and it's most of the time badly transformed out of the factory, so if you decide to take a closer look that's where I would start

Thanks, I pushed the legs up more and the gap got smaller but I think I'm gonna just take a chance and transform it and see where the weak spots are. It's a toy and if I can't at least transform it once then what was the point of buying it.

There's been reports that sloppy paint applications causing problems for transformation, because they cause the joints/hinges to stick. Maybe that's the case?

Well I found out it was because the legs weren't pushed all the way in, the arms still don't come together 100% but it's better than it was. But it did give me a chance to get a real good look at this thing and see what the problem areas are. First off nothings broken and things actually look pretty good just everything on this feels sloppy, no real paint problems or anything but the arms are pretty lose and there's a lot of play in pretty much every part, it was a chore just trying to get it to stand. Still there are some seriously nice parts to it like the feet which are quite high quality, still I hear the blues ones are the worse so I'll see how the green and red ones turn out.

I agree, the legs are the best part of this toy. If the arms and head/nocecone areas weren't so poor this would have been a very nice toy. You should be careful also of the missile hatches on the legs. That's easily fixed, both my Aoshimas had a couple of missile doors that fell off when opened the first time (like zeomare says in his review)

Got my other two Beta's today, nothing wrong and still nice figures. I stickered them up and the good thing with these is that you have a lot of options of how you want to sticker them up. For the red one I switched all the white numbers/letters for black ones and tried to keep it a mostly all black color scheme while the green one a did the opposite and tried to use as many white stickers as possible (my blue one is a mix). Now all I'm waiting for are my Alpha's.

Nice - well, I for one, am happy for you Chen! So were all of these the Aoshima releases (I know, technically they're still the Toynami toys just repacked and no longer "numbered")... but I'm just wondering what you thought of the Alpha's you got. I remember when they first came out they were just as bad as the Toynami releases (and actually some of them were even worse because they were rushed out the factory door with paint that hadn't even dried properly). I wonder because I'm sure Aoshima would have produced at least a couple more runs of the mold and eventually improved a bit... right?
That is... not EVERY SINGLE Legioss toy was a total horror story, was it?

hi yeah for the most part it is the same figure, all the issues with the Toynami are found here, the paint seems better and the hands are a little harder plastic but they still seem like they are ready to break, they are good maybe alittle better then the toynami ones but not by much the Treads are real nice however, i wish the Legioss was updated from the issue's Toynami had but most issues found in those are still present here

Yeah pretty much what zeomare said, nothings broken on mine just things don't line up well. Parts just don't fit with any kind of precision, especially the doors that cover the shoulder missile pods on the three I own the right shoulder cover has a big chunk that looks like it wasn't molded evenly. Paint isn't too bad but once it's out of fighter mode things get a little sloppy because nothing is locked in place anymore. The whole shoulder/swing arm assembly has a lot of play and looseness that it can't hold the gun straight which is probably why you see pics using both hands to hold it. I will say that these do have quite a bit of metal and the legs are extremely well done but it just seems the molds or the factory itself were second rate. Still I'm glad I bought them (basically only spent around $325 not including shipping for all six) and in combined mode these things are impressively large (from wingtip to wingtip it's almost 17" wide and from front to back about 16") it's just a shame that the Legioss' were so poorly done. But as is I doubt Toynami/Aoshima or anybody will be making Mospeada toys again for quite a long time so you really only have these and the CM's to choose from if you want the Legioss and Tread combo.

I'm finding that the bases aren't the greatest things made, there kinda floppy and with the combined Tread/Legioss so back heavy it's starting to slowly tilt back of the pegs in the stand. It's a good thing the landing gear that comes with the Treads are made off sturdy metal so I can forego the stand if I want.
